Dark Souls Path Tracing mod, yay or nay?

Seems there's also a texture mod in there because the surfaces clearly change.

It seems the coloring is uniformised and it lose some details because of it.
 
To all the people complaining: it's only natural that the most creative and unique Dark Souls is getting the most love from the modding community.

He's a banned source when it comes to fps, resolution, and graphical settings. This is just him showcasing a mod. This isn't fake. There are other videos of the mod too.
He's banned for being a lying thieving and conniving son of a bit.
He bamboozled people numerous time, the most outrageous exemple being when he said Ghost of Yotei looked good.
I myself wrote countless letters to this so called "anal sista" hoping to score a date, before finding out he was a dude with no sister in sight.

(actually don't care about him and i watch his vids sometimes because i like looking at graphical comparisons and listening to soundcloud hiphop beats and i to much of a layman on the topic to understand or care about his deceptions, which apparently are numerous)

Dont you need to recreate all textures in order to look good?

In layman terms, there are changes to the textures because they have to define how these textures will behave when PT lights hits it.
Otherwise it will not even work. You can change the light back to full raster with the mod but you will get "Blender like" full solid textures.
 
Do it, lol. I'm hoping DLSS 6 will allow a layer over any old game.

Imagine if we could put a layer of higher quality animation AI over the animation of the TV show Invincible, lol. Imagine if we could put modern sprites and background over everything in FFVII, VIII, and IX.

This made me try it, wow it looks absolutely amazing for it to be dark souls 2! Playing in my 5090 so not seeing any performance issues and it was literally 60 seconds Google search, extract to gane folder and play.

Is there a version of this type mod for dark souls 1 and or 3?

I just played it as well and I'm impressed. 60fps on my GPU.

I don't know about DS1/3 versions.
 
That Majula lengthy, uninterrupted comparison was absolutely incredible.

ElAnalista fucked it up badly.
Yeah it was pretty obvious the moment they released it. Called it out right away. The guy didn't even enable it, was showing the older RTGI mod instead and trying to pass it off as PT, either knowingly or unknowingly. Probably the latter, but who knows? Just another bizarre feather in their cap of fuckery.

Ok. Image on twitter looks path traced and the method is legit. The elanalistabits video doesn't demonstrate it though. I think they are up to some shenanigans again.

The video shows RTGI and may be RT reflections. Not seeing the path tracing. When PT goes on, the difference is always obvious as all the shadow maps would disappear and you get realistic shadows instead.

Tell me this looks path traced... Lol.

LoL you took the exact same photos i did some pages ago.

Imagine this game balanced around the Path tracing lights, torches etc.
I'm already predicting a number of times I'm going to die in The gutter and black gulch...

Hahaha, I'm LTTP but didn't really study previous pages. But yeah, some of them are almost 1:1.

Game is now way too dark in some places, and torch mechanics are absolutely bad. Character should emit more light like in original DeS.

There's a mod on Nexus or discord that rebalance the torch mechanics.
