sad black and white GIF

Who can look at Franck and be "DAMN THIS LOOKS SO COOL AND THE DIALOGUE IS AWESOME". Marvel really killed the brain of the new generation.

Atreus is an annoying kid, but I have no desire to hear Jack Quaid voice a millennial quirk abortion cube.

I vote for Tyr or alcoholic dad-bod Thor instead.

As Forsaken and Horizon FW show, lack of a companion is not going to stop developers from making their characters constantly comment on everything.
Unfortunately that's the current trend. I remember how Lara kept silent in older TR games, I bet she's going to be commenting a lot in the new remake.

Atreus didnt bother me- i dunno, wasnt a big deal.
I know nothing about the cube and it looks sort of dumb at the moment.

What's crazy is that Atreus being male and the cube being played by a male actor is probably the only thing keeping the next GOW being about both characters teaming up.

The Cube and Ribbon are going to have so much millennial writing and talking the entire time. A lot of people are going to regret their vote.

Reminds me of those office toy cubes that would talk each time you picked it up. It's great for the first few times, but then the novelty wears off. It becomes a stupid cube you don't want to pick up anymore. Why not have a talking rock next time?

Cube by far

After playing the GOW 2018, I had no interest in ragnarok

Now Laufey is legit the only thing I'll probably be a tad jealous that Sony is no longer porting on PC.

It reminds me more of the D&D planes cRPGs with wild characters, because why the fuck not, you're in a pure fantasy world and can do whatever you want, not enough studios abuse this.

Planescape Torment's Modron cube comes to mind.

Dude what a hilarious but legitimate question. I'm actually at work right now and people are looking at me crazy for laughing like a mad man for no apparent reason.

Honestly OP I ain't voting for neither. Both are awful and it seems like Sony's been smoking that high grade shiz lately and they need an intervention.

Anyone feel like they're pulling a Howl's Moving Castle turniphead on us and the cube is just an enchanted someone else that will become apparent before the end of the story. Which is probably why they have an actor behind it.

Just a wild ass guess on my part but ... maybe ?

At least the boy is a human.

The cube is actually the dumbest, most low effort thing I've seen in a game in a long time.

I was mostly on board with this game, I like the actress and she looks good for the most part in the game and her combat looked nice , but then the cube showed up. Wtf.

So out of place, so unnecessary, sounds stupid, has a dumb name, ect ect.

The cube turned this into a wait for a sale game for me.

The cube is a fun and kinda fresh idea

Atreus is literally one of the worst characters in the last ten years. He is awful, especially in Ragnarok
I am not sure I actually want "fun" in a God of War game.
eg DC had some jokes in Batman, but the general tone was different than the average tone in Marvel movies. The cube fits into Marvel stuff, but not into DC. GoW was imho DC tone until now. Killing your way out of hell was its general tone, right?
Not a big fan of companions anyway. They are more often than not just annoying. Pragmata seems very alright, the kid is super cute, but probably still not my kind of game. But it is its own thing, not changing an established IP. Being an isolated hero is in itself another ingredient that alters a story automatically. As soon as you add a companion it is usually to make it more lighthearted, somewhat funny, taking care of that other character instead of just me against evil in a grim harsh world. Turning Kratos in a caring Dad is probably already out of character. He is a whiny dumb asshole in the original games. Imho they should have rebootet it with a new hero and without Kratos. And then a cube in a sequel might have not been so odd.

Atreus was ok in the first GoW game. The second game made him insufferable.

I almost quit GoW one in the first few hours because Atreus was such an annoying little bitch. What a pain to have to listen to that brat.
He is one of the main reasons why I never picked up Ragnarök, just because I saw so many people saying that he was even worse.

Ragnarok was badly written, badly paced and ruined most of its characters. I quite halfway.

The worst part is that combat actually improved but the rest was shite.

He's either gonna stay a cube till the end or turn into something else. Either way, there's no way he's worse than Atreus. I'm standing by my vote.
The cube isn't the issue. It's effeminate Quaid saying cringy Marvel-tier lines as he follows you around. At least Atreus had the fun arrogant god arc. I'd rather deal with an annoying douchy kid than a grown man acting like that.
