Resident evil 4 remake is at 4.9 million.

Resident evil is now one of the best selling single player franchises.

Between RE7, RE2R, RE3R, REV and RE4R it's sold 44.8 million.

To put in comparison my quick napkin maths

Zelda BOTW and TOTK is at 48 million.

GOW 2018 and Ragnarok 35 million (likely a bit higher.

Spiderman and Miles Morales 33 million +(likely much higher about to explode with Spiderman 2)

Horizon ZD and FW 32 million.

RDR2 53 million.

Witcher 3 50.million

Assassin's Creeds since Syndicate seems to be about 40 to 50 million.

Just for a laugh Final Fantasy FF15, FF7R and FF 16 is at 18 million.( Although likely a bit higher.

Any other big ones I missed since 2015? I've kept it since then to make the comparisons fair.

Pretty interesting how's Resident Evils keeping pace with the big boys by releasing smaller games more frequent games.

Capcom is killing it. So happy they are doing well after the rough PS360 generation where I was worried they might go bankrupt. And their newfound success bodes well for Dragon's Dogma 2. I think it will be a platinum title fairly easy this time, whereas the first one struggled quite a bit to reach that goal.

Their most promising franchise is clearly Monster Hunter, it has broken into western market proper.

And is regularly in Steam most played titles. Hopefully aiming for 50 million + sales with next installment, including expansion.

Hands down the best developer on the planet.

I can't think of a single developer who releases as many games on such a tight schedule across a variety of platforms (including VR ) and they are all bangers. Even something like 3make. The core game is fantastic, the disappointment stemmed from knowing that Capcom could have easily done better.

Yeah, still playing it. It is a little light on content for the price tag unfortunately, but it's a ton of fun when you get used to it. Would recommend for sure getting it on sale. I'm at almost 80 hrs now. I can see how its too repetitive for some people, but it's one of my favorite multiplayer games ever (Splatoon, Monster Hunter, Soul Calibur, Exoprimal).
