Blair Witch, which first launched for Xbox One and PC on August 30, is coming to PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store on December 3 for $29.90 alongside an update featuring gameplay and technical enhancements, developer Bloober Team announced. A physical retail edition is also planned for release at a later date.

Here is an overview of the game, via Bloober Team:
The updated Blair Witch, which will first be available for digital download and later via physical retail versions, will include gameplay and technical enhancements. Additionally, players will now be able to customize their canine companion in various ways to make Bullet their personal “good boy” with the addition of the appropriately named “Good Boy Pack”; which will include new dog skins; new in-game cellphone games, wallpapers, and content; and new animations for Bullet—making him even more realistic. The “Good Boy Pack” will also be available on PC via Steam and the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X via the Xbox Games Store and Xbox Game Pass.

Blair Witch offers fans, and players alike, their own descent into madness through an original story inspired by Lionsgate’s iconic Blair Witch. Set in 1996, a young boy disappears in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. Players experience the horror as Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, accompanied by his trustful canine companion, Bullet. Their story starts as they join the search for the missing boy, but players shortly discover the horrors that await as the woods twist and turn into an endless nightmare. Ellis will have to confront his fears, and his past, along with the mysterious force that haunts the woods.

The first-person experience studies players’ reactions to the many dangers, stresses and tolls that the original story delivers, and results in one of various potential playthroughs. In addition to the horrifying psychological experience, there is a balanced display of the beautiful environments showcased in full in-game 4K; tricking adventurers to feel a sense of relief before venturing even deeper into the home of the iconic Blair Witch. Blair Witch is enhanced for 4K gameplay on Xbox One X and supported PCs via Steam, and will also be supported via PlayStation 4 Pro upon its digital release.

bought! I need some good survival horror + I'm a sucker for the original blair witch film. I know that this game does not have much in common with the movie, but I think I'm going to like it anyways.

This is very good news, I was hoping that it was only a timed exclusivity, not an Xbox (console) exclusive. I'm probably not getting the game on day 1 because of the performance/bug reports and mediocre player reviews, but I'll be there when it's on sale. :)

Still need to finish the game via Gamepass Ultimate on pc. I liked it so far and the atmosphere in the game is great. I thought that this game was Xbox console exclusive, but great it's not!

It will be half that in no time at all from what I've read about this dud. I've seen a similar phrase used often "once you realize you're rarely in danger it's not as much fun"
I think you can die if I remember correctly from when I played it so it is not a total walking simulator. It is pretty slow though and I have to admit I haven’t finished it yet, similar to observer I just didn’t find it that compelling.

Is this any good? I downloaded it via Game Pass but haven't tried it yet.
I played it after Gears 5 and I was so bored with it. This is how I felt at least. The dog mechanic was boring for me to consistently send out while I walked on (what felt like) the same path, looking at a picture of a missing kid. After playing Gears 5 it was such a boring game. The reveal trailer was exciting, but it wasn't fun searching for some kid. The premise is interesting. I guess I didn't play enough to get into the good parts. I was just bored getting there. I loved Resident Evil 7, but I don't think you dragged your feet as much as you do in Blair Witch. I also didn't really get into Amnesia. I'm kinda picky about the horror genre. Not everything is a win because it comes off as looking scary. Maybe its good with friends or something?

That's not good enough for me to play. Even if it was $20. There's just too much for me to play.
