I'd kill for a new Mad Max game, but I imagine that's not in the cards.
A new Just Cause would be cool if they corrected course after JC4.

Guess it's JC5.

Series really stagnated on last-gen machines, though.
Designing "unprecedented havoc" with 8 jaguar cores wasn't exactly a success.

I hope Just Cause 5 will be a step forward in open world destructivity.
Did you played just cause 4? Because that game had more physics, destruction and chaos than most open world games even with just a jaguar.

Next game is gonna be fucking crazy.

This.

It's about time a developer tried to build on what Mercenaries and Red Faction Guerilla set in motion.

Hot take Mercenaries 1 was a very influential game and better than any of the ps1 GTA games.

Even Hotter take Mercenaries 2 was better than GTA4! GTA 4 was shit.

I'd be happy with a rehash of JC2 in terms of vibe, but with balls to the wall physics/interactions and all the modern bells and whistles.

Even though the mechanics expanded a lot in JC3 there was a distinct tone to JC2 that's still unmatched, it even had a great atmosphere from the world all the way down to the incidental music/fx. The character design was better and the world felt better designed as well as having a great degree of variety. I remember playing the demo on PS3 over and over.

As for JC4, I checked out after a few hours, it just felt and looked awful.
