Apple has to be one of the largest purchasers of RAM out there. I wonder what their margins are and how much their purchase volume affects prices.

I'm going to be one of those annoying people who brags about how they got lucky buying their Apple product just before the price increase even though the information is totally useless to anyone and mildly infuriating to the people missing out.

Though in my defence it was a computer for my retired mother so she could use that extra cash.

Thank you fir your attention to this matter.

I just bought a new M5 MBA with 24GB of RAM and 1TB SSD, less than a month ago. Glad I did.

We all knew this was coming, it was happening sooner than later.

PSA: Best Buy at still has the original prices. My son was saving up for the Neo but we went ahead and got one off Best Buy today and he will have to owe us. No point in teaching your kid to save for something if it slowly gets further out of grasp.

I was kinda contemplating if I want to buy an iPad Pro while I was in Asia a while ago. don't really need it or anything but my current iPad Pro is showing its age. at the end I decided against it since the trip was already pretty costly. now I kinda regret it, but again it's not a big deal since it's not something that I need but I want.

Briefly considered it myself a few months ago. I'm on a base model iPad Pro from 2018. It still works fine, but it will no longer get major OS updates starting this fall. I'm definitely satisfied with the 8-year run so far, but I know it's only a matter of time before I'm going to have to upgrade. Gonna drag it out as long as I can and later get a certified refurbished model as a replacement.
