Netflix and Project 51 Productions have announced that the official trailer for the upcoming Castlevania: Nocturne animated series will premiere tomorrow, ahead of the show’s release on September 28, 2023.

Get ready for the thrilling Castlevania: Nocturne series introducing Maria Renard, a captivating character with extraordinary powers Discover Maria's mysterious role in this exciting installment, adding a new level of intrigue and excitement to the Castlevania universe!

The story of Castlevania: Nocturne draws inspiration from two original games, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and its sequel, Symphony of the Night. It takes place during the French Revolution in the year 1792, three centuries after the events of the initial Castlevania series. The protagonist, Richter Belmont, a member of the vampire-hunting Belmont family, teams up with a group of magicians and hunters to prevent an impending apocalypse. While Richter is a descendant of Trevor Belmont, his personality differs greatly from his ancestor.

In addition to the traditional main villain, Dracula, this new series introduces a new antagonist named Erzsébet Báthory, who was previously a final boss in one of the Castlevania games. Castlevania: Nocturne brings forth a wide array of new characters, including vampires and magicians. Among these characters is Maria Renard, a prominent figure in the Castlevania series.

Won’t watch the trailer because I’ve seen enough to know it’s going to be incredible like the series’ that preceded it.

As an aside, wasn’t there supposed to be a Devil May Cry series from the same producer on Netflix?

It has a different writer than the original series so hopefully it'll be better. The story in seasons 3-4 were just awful.

So Dracula comes back.....? Hmmm. Wouldn't think so after the end of the last series but we'll see what this is about.

They'll probably mess with Lisa again. :v

Seriously though, I want them to do the battle of 1999, it would wrap up the series quite nicely.

Hopefully when this show reaches an eventual season 2, people will stop bringing up their least favorite season(s) and episode(s) of the previous show.
