It is deserving of the free PR.
You have a fitting name, though.

I got your back! At TIFF it was shown at midnight and the crowd went insane. The Q and A afterward was also great. Sam Neil was drunk off his ass. :lolCount Dookkake said::lol

It's in my top 5 of the year. Absolutely loved it. Why did you hate it so much?Blader5489 said:You mean 3.
The Brothers Bloom sucked.

Yeah, they really fudged up the rls. Summit was trying something new and made it available to rent way back in October, but are now just making it available to purchase.Stealth said:Brothers Bloom is already on BD in my blockbuster. Don't know if it's supposed to be but, just thought I'd give a heads up. Really fun film.
I don't think that's coming out til 2011 and not a massive fan of Haggis after Crash and Elah.polyh3dron said:Plainview: FYI this year's Taken will be "The Next Three Days".
Oh and if you don't like Brothers Bloom there is something wrong with you.

Cosmic Bus said:Granted, he's only two movies in, but Johnson hasn't yet shown that he's capable of anything compelling, creative, or with even a hint of individualism. He's another great borrower, one who's in love with himself and only knows how to loudly wear his influences on his sleeve, which is probably why he's becoming so popular with today's twenty-somethings.
Nice! I missed Big Fan. Can't wait to see it.Snowman Prophet of Doom said:I think Big Fan is supposed to hit DVD on Jan. 12th as well, which was in a very limited release that caused me to not see it. That got some pretty positive buzz in some circles (AV Club put it as their 12th best of the year).
Well, there's an old saying that average artists borrow while great artists steal. That's why I love Paul Thomas Anderson so much; his work takes from so many different sources but absolute transcends the influences to become something supremely unique. I haven't seen either of Johnson's movies save for a small section or Brick, but having obvious influences does not decrease the quality of an artist's work.
IMDB pulled that number out of the air and it'll most likely be wrong unless there's some Shutter Island style push back.DanielPlainview said:I don't think that's coming out til 2011 and not a massive fan of Haggis after Crash and Elah.

Also, it's a remake/reimagining of a foreign film a la The Departed, and as far as adaptations go you'd probably agree that Casino Royale was one of the best Bond movies ever made. Quantum of Solace not so much, but a lot of people took their turns at fucking up that script once he was done with it.
You can rent it in HD for the low, low price of $19.99!!!!distantmantra said:Not interested in a damn thing mentioned in this thread.
Oh, Bitchslap is already available on the Playstation Store, I saw it there this morning.

movie does look funny, though.
DanielPlainview said:After viewing the red band trailer the comedy seems very much like AD. I enjoy Cera, but have only been really impressed with Superbad and moments in Juno and Nick and Nora. It looks like he is given a lot to do in this film, so I'm quite excited.
