That's the same thing Moto X is doing. If Apple brings iphone, ipad, etc assembly to the US, it could create 10K + jobs.

Motorola's CEO explained that the economics are there to bring the assembly back to the US, and even some stuff can be manufactured here like case, screen, buttons, etc as the cost won't be that much more as compared to have it done in Asia. However, other parts cannot be done here as the cost/benefit would be too high, so for those parts you would still have to have it done in Asia.
