VITA NEW MODEL Announced with built in 1GB memory!!

Sorry Mr. Elite. Cry some more please.

I even like the 3DS screen better than my Vita screen. I'm happy they are going back to LCD. Now all the remains is the quality.

Not sure if delirious...

The 3ds screen is so bad. What do you prefer about it?

I was finally going to purchase a Vita since it's getting a group of games I would enjoy, but now I have to wait some more.

LCD screen lol. Are they completely doing away with the original Vita with OLED screen or will both be available? Will be so pissed if my original Vita dies at some point and I have to get a shitty LCD version, ugh.

Feel the same want a spare OLED model. The PSP Revision felt so much cheaper this will be no different.

Do you really remember the terrible ghosting the PSP1000 had compared to the 2000 and 3000 model revisions?

In terms of the feel of the original PSP the revisions did feel extremely cheap.

Only noticed just now what Sony did with the "colors" of the device. Listen Sony, I can understand cheapening out on the screen to get more battery life but cheapening out on colored front plate and buttons is just wrong.

As usual with Sony consoles you have the choice of a nice looking black or white model, and then you have a bunch of franken-colors with mixes of colors.

Is this too much to ask?

A product revision?! Wheeee!

No OLED? Hmmm...

No proprietary port though? Wheeeeee!

New colors wheeee

More battery wheeee

Same price...wat

Definitely going to be grabbing of red or blue from Japan before they disappear to put on the shelf for a rainy day.

PSP quality went down (cheaper) with each itteration...not expecting anythin different with the new Vita.

You can always pay for it to be repaired. If you have a BC PS3 and you send it in for repairs, you'll get the same model back.

This is the classic Sony move isn't it? Like the Playstation 3, they slowly removed features... They are now doing this with the PSVita. I saw previously though that this is close to the price of the 1000 right now? Not sure if it's true or not but that's just less for the consumer :/

I'm glad they fixed the annoying recessed Select and Start buttons. I'm having to press Select a lot in Muramasa to see the map, and it's harder than it needs to be.

I'm not sure I like the new Sony way of releasing newer models with substantially cheaper components (PS3 Super Slim, new Vita). Whenever Sony has changed hardware in the past they've kept the build and materials quality up (PS1 and PS2 slims etc).

Just shows how much things have changed I guess.

LOL yes. Changing the screen is removing a feature. Good grief.

I would like the white version this time in EU, please. Hmm. I wonder how likely it is that we will again never see the new colors...

Do we have any impressions regarding the new screen? That 1GB lark doesn't move me in the slightest, might as well be 1MB then.

aftter this news. i am not sure if i should buy a ps vita right now and wait for newer model.

i mean, i like OLED screens more than LCDs. but the other stuff are super nice too. there is no hands on with the new VITA ?

Is the screen really that big of a deal when you get all the other improvements? Touch LCD today is way better than when the vita w/OLED was introduced two years ago. Sounds solid to me.

I'm actually serious. I just really like seeing a little structure on a screen on handhelds since I'm about a foot away.

Not to say I can't appreciate the Vita screen. I absolutely love it as well. But I'm very happy to have another Vita with an LCD.

I also have a few predilections for artifacts. I'm a big fan of dithering, for example.

Just put a window screen on your Vita. Instant lovely trash.

Only way I would have considered double dipping is if it had an SD card slot. I'll be happy to stick with my current Vita now.

I bought a Vita through the Walmart deal a couple of weeks ago despite the rumors of a new model coming out and now after seeing it, I don't regret my purchase at all.

Downgrade.

The only good thing to come from this conference is the 64 gig memory card. But you know they're going to charge highway robbery prices for that and even then that 64gig won't be enough since it's just two 32gigs (which isn't enough right now) ducttaped together.

Give me 1Tb or bust.

I do like that they are making the Vita lighter, thinner, and hopefully cheaper. It will be interesting the quality comparisons between LCD and OLED. If its just a notch below, I'm ok with that. This combined with Vita TV just means more Vita hardware for software to be made. End of the day, that's what matters.

Clearly it didn't stand out that much.

The screen on my One X, or on the Z Ultra look fantastic. Not OLED.

I mean when side by side with it's rival, anyway I won't judge it too much until I see it in person. Who knows it could still be good, can only wait and see :)
