Hype train, choo-choo!

I can't believe it's finally happening! I so hope this is much like the RDR Gameplay series. Those were so good!

I'm genuinely interested to see what they've crafted here. If they can come even remotely close to matching the core gameplay designed for Max Payne 3 I would be thrilled. High quality, polished gameplay mechanics would do a lot for the game.

If they pull off the shooting of MP3 in an open world setting they will become legend.

Ever heard of youtube?

They're one of youtube's biggest stars on it and so much so they're even getting a TV Show..

They are The Hodge Twins!

Never heard of them....don't really follow anything on youtube though....actually I pretty much ignore social media and networks altogether, lol.

Doubt I'll ever see/watch anything with them either. Are they a comedy act or something?

Anyway, on subject.....not much longer!

They pretty much did that with RDR though. All that was missing was a Marston shootdodge =P

Im sure the MP3/R* Euphoria gunplay will be there and probably even more refined.

I have heard of youtube, yes.

Obviously my tastes differ from the average youtuber, you and the fucking weasel tv execs that gave these two pricks a show.

I'll be out of work when Rockstar releases the trailer. Perfect, I'll be able to watch it after the servers have been hammered.

Can't wait, really, it's basically the only game I'm really hyped until MGSV.

You're basing all this off of one gif?

It's one hell of an annoying gif, I really don't think I could watch something with two people that even acted like they did in that gif for five seconds.

None of this is important anyway.

I'm here to see GTA 5 gameplay. Not the idiot twins.

Lol ok. Maybe this trailer will calm your anger issues.

If it's actually proper gameplay, I'll expect they'll show footage similar to what the media saw at that event a few months ago.

Rockstar, may the gaming gods bestow upon thee great power and fortitude to go balls out with this video. I am patiently yet feverishly waiting for it to drop, much like I was at age 16 waiting for my mom to arrive home from work so she could drive me to the mall to get my Nintendo 64. Most-hyped since then.

LETS DO THIS.

All I really want to know is what the lead console is so I can finally place this preorder

I really want to know too. The only reason I haven't sold my 360 yet is because I remember getting GTA IV on PS3 and regretting it. The minute I read (from a reputable source) that the ps3 version is just as good, it's gone.

I ACTUALLY had a dream of us this gameplay video.

It consistent of like 3 minutes of a chase scene.

It looked just amazing, but I remember being disappointed with the car physics ( I am a big BIG fan of IV car physics)

That is actually my biggest worry. Not the fps, not the resolution, not the pop in, not the content but the car physics.

They were just so damn good in IV and needed that little bit of tweaking to be perfect but I worry the complainers got to Rockstar.

I think Sleeping Dogs , Saints Row 3, InFamous 2, and a lot of RDR missions along with Assassin's Creed (listing most of the 'sandbox games' I've played since GTA IV) have a lot of variation of how you can complete missions.

I don't know, Sleeping Dogs is actually the one I was thinking of when I wrote that. I remember it being incredibly strict, to the point where it had all these chase missions that you could never actually 'win'. Every footchase is you chasing some guy with the same parkour abilities as you have, who runs at the same speed you do, so they only end when the bad guy stops and finds a bunch of guys for you to fight (except that one date with the rooftop race). I remember one mission where I had to shoot some guys, so there was a guy standing with his back to a crate so I could jump over it and steal his gun. Then the game wanted me to chase a guy in a car, so it switched to a cutscene and put Wei in the car for me so I wouldn't miss the hint. Then the guy in the car was uncatchable all the way down this highway, and there was a big icon on screen saying he was always 81 metres away no matter how fast I went, just so I knew I could never catch up to him. Then, instead of his car becoming destructable, he actually hits a trigger point and slows down so I can do the Vin Diesel airjack thing.

I don't really have anything specific against heavily scripted missions in open world games. Vice City and San Andreas had their share of missions like that, and a lot of them were fantastic, but I feel like they kept a good balance of more open-plan stuff, too. I just feel like it wastes the potential of the open world when they don't let it come into play. Scripted crashes in GTA IV's car chases were probably the worst thing for me. All my favourite memories from the old GTAs were just random things that happened to me :P

EDIT - I think I still played at least a hundred hours of GTA IV, though, so OMGOMGOMGNEWTRAILER etc :P
