Haha, this is Zee, a major troll over there. He doesn't like Rockstar anymore and thinks they are lazy and only drinking whiskey all day long. But his posts are mostly for a good laugh.Haha, definitely some weird cats on that forum.
I'm browsing it now and there's a topic about the gameplay video. Like four posts in I get:
lmfao. Like...what??
I expect better.
That's awesome. Did you use JS?
That second picture! One of my favourite screens released.I expect better.
Oh lmao, well that makes sense. I was cracking up @ "cockstar".Haha, this is Zee, a major troll over there. He doesn't like Rockstar anymore and thinks they are lazy and only drinking whiskey all day long. But his posts are mostly for a good laugh.
Hmmm, I thought Zee was banned on GTAF?
Haha, seriously. I remember the Red Dead ones getting me really excited. And how great the narrator was. Especially when watching the very first one they put out.
"Rockstar Games set out to capture the essence of the West in their first open-world game set in a rural environment."
*pause for effect*
"Red Dead Redemption."

This thread is making me consider getting Dark Souls and Red Dead instead of Animal Crossing. Haven't played ANY of them yet. =/

Haha, totally. That guy could tell me that I've contracted a particularly virulent strain of tertiary syphilis that's eating through my genitals like a pack of wild dogs on a bag of chips... and I'd still be hyped.

Just buy Red Dead and Animal Crossing. Problem solved, you don't need those other games.

I didn't play Max Payne, why did the cutscenes ruin it?Gotdamn, those Red Dead videos were like getting a fix. I felt like "This is everything I've ever wanted in a game" with every update. Then it delivered so hard on release. It was like the epitome of the "videogame hype cycle + amazing final product." That kind of satisfaction is so rare for me.
Then there was Max Payne 3 which was on the same road until it crashed and burned when I tried to replay the game. That was like the ultimate "LESSON LEARNED" in terms of getting too hyped. Thankfully cutscenes can't ruin GTAV.........or so I hope.

The game has four hours of cutscenes and you can't skip them on replays or in arcade mode. Some people managed to prove that a lot of them don't actually hide loading at all, Rockstar just didn't give you the option to skip them.
5 hours.
Don't know why, but i'm hoping for directional indicators on the cars![]()
Boy, that's a tough one.I need to pass the time with an assinine question to the GAF:
Who is your favourite GTA character (including NPCs)?

I can't remember his name, but the main villain from The Lost and Damned. Voice acting was just so good, and he had this polarizing aura about him throughout the game.
Yusuf.
Omid Djalili is pretty funny.

Well, you can't skip some of them. Usually a fat one in the middle of a level. Did someone actually prove they don't hide loading? Source?
This video shows a guy loading a level from Chapter Select in about seven seconds, versus playing through the game until he reaches the cutscene that precedes that level and being unable to skip the cutscene. It goes for about three and a half minutes and doesn't let him skip it at any point, saying 'STILL LOADING' every time he presses the button.
Granted, it's just one cutscene, I don't know if they're all like that, but it's still pretty damning.
Ah, fair enough then. I'm not technically minded, but is there not some computery explanation for it being easier to load a level straight up fresh as opposed to loading from a previous one?
