Any actual gameplay trailer for GTA? Released to the public?

That has to be a first for Rockstar

Wonder if this will be a series like they did with Max Payne and RDR

Indeed a first for the GTA series.

Important to note that technically there is "gameplay" in practically every GTA trailer ever, just from a different camera angle and without the HUD. But I suspect this to be more like the series you mentioned for RDR, LA Noire, and Max Payne 3.

Dark Souls fanboys are even worse than Nier ones. Have to bring it up in a completely unrelated thread and everythign. :)

San Andreas had a gameplay trailer the one that played welcome to the jungle

Is this eight hours away now, or have I got my time zones wrong?

Can't wait to see how it handles. I want to see analogue movement control, Max Payne 3's shooting, RDR's weapon wheel, GTA IV's car handling and a framerate that doesn't give me too bad a headache.

You're correct. 7 hours, 56 minutes.

Dark Souls is my GotG so far.

I think GTAV has a chance of supplanting it, but what i'm sure of is that it's going to be, at the very least, my GOTY.

Dark Souls is my GotG too. But even when I end up voting for GTAV as GotY, Dark Souls would still remain my GotG. No other game gave me an experience like that in years. GTAV only had a chance with me if it manages to surpass San Andreas, and I doubt it will.

Dark Souls is definitely my favorite RPG of the generation. I'd even call it my favorite survival horror

In terms of story and narrative, that honor goes to TLOU

And knowing my tastes, GTA V will be my GOTY and GOTG for gameplay and just sheer enjoyment.

Five years later, and cop chases and walking around Liberty City in 4 hasn't gotten old so I can only imagine how much I'll love V

You can't have a knife fight on top of a blimp covered in sticky bombs in Dark Souls' multiplayer.

Don't have high expectations since it's on current gen consoles, but if they can make it look better than GTA 4 then I'll be satisfied.

We're derailing here, but DS is special in its own way.

It's the tension and fear of the unknown
The satisfication of an earned victory
The bitter taste of a stupid death
The sudden chill of being invaded
The grotesque beauty of the enemy design
The bleakness of the world

That's what makes Dark Souls special. GTA V can't match that

That's totally fair and when all is said and done, DkS will probably remain my GotG too (well, we'll see, anyhow), just pointing out that there are fans of both. :P

Knife fight
Explosive-covered blimp
"Pedestrians turn into dogs cheat"
Cropduster plane covered in explosives crashes into blimp
Everything explodes
Survivors parachute to the ground into the swarms of dogs

GOTG

With Gameplay video announcement R* Leeds added new job on their page stealthy. And guess what:

Rockstar Leeds are currently looking for a talented graphics programmer to help bring our latest titles to the PC platform. Working together with the other Rockstar studios, you will be responsible for maintaining the studio’s uncompromising quality bar, delivering the highest quality PC experience possible.

Deal with it XD

Gameplay isnt really gameplay in Rockstar gameplay videos, right? I remember first seeing the HUD from LA Noire and RDR after the game came out.

Well there were and there are gamers who doesn't want that some R* titles ever come to PC.

Huh? Who in the hell...

Anyways, what strikes me is this line:

'Working together with the other Rockstar studios'

I'm asking myself if this counts for more than one game (GTAV).

GTAForums people, mostly are kids though (at least i hope so).
Haha, definitely some weird cats on that forum.

I'm browsing it now and there's a topic about the gameplay video. Like four posts in I get:

f*kin lazy cockstar probably wont even release it

lmfao. Like...what??

They absolutely have a HUD during their gameplay videos

They just bounce back and forth between cinematic views and raw gameplay footage.

These videos are so good they just got me re-hyped for a game I already consider my co-GOTG, another that was a disappointment, and another that could've been amazing if not for its ultra flawed design.

If the GTAV video is anywhere close to them......My God

+15 minutes of trying to get through to their hammered website to ultimately just watch the YT footage.

I seem to remember the Rockstar YT channel being updated instantly with the new trailers last time.

Anyway, I imagine they're going to focus on the character switching mechanics in this first episode. That or the world maybe.

Haha, seriously. I remember the Red Dead ones getting me really excited. And how great the narrator was. Especially when watching the very first one they put out.

"Rockstar Games set out to capture the essence of the West in their first open-world game set in a rural environment."

*pause for effect*

"Red Dead Redemption."
