Nah, they need to lose the middle eastern terrorists if anything. Crystals are a staple in many of SE's franchises, and are even present in Versus. Let's not forget that Fantasy is still Fantasy, regardless of how realistic it is.

Haha, yeah I took a little too much time making that.
Yeah it isn't.But they didn't they already create enough assets to turn it into something playable by E3 and show it to the public ?(the favella slums , the temple, the green area , the futuristic city in the distance)
They could announce the game and what not.I would be very happy with that.As for versus , I just don't want to think too much about it.I don't want to be disappointed.
EDIT : Isn't all this essentially realtime and "playable" ?

I give Versus a 30% chance of appearing in some capacity. Not sure if BD will appear here or in Nintendo's booth.
But Agni and Type 0... them's are low odds.

I don't believe Versus will be there. I can't take the disappointment again.
I'd expect release dates for Lightning Returns, X/X-2 HD, and XIV being shown very prominently.
If they put a year and a vague "holiday" or "spring" on the rest, it's fine.

Well they were supposedly going to show it months ago, but something came up and forced them to show everyone a tech demo "running on the PS4" aka youtube.com that we saw months ago at the last moment (according to the insiders at this very forum). Surely they didn't fly them all the way out there just to do that? I think the chance of us seeing Versus/Final Fantasy XV is pretty high.

Yeah that's just Zeal's and whoever else's bullshit. In November last year they plainly said that in June of this year (ie. E3) that they were going to show "something different" regarding Agni.

I would lose my shit if we see both Versus XIII (XV) and then ANOTHER new Final Fantasy (which was originally AP)

That would be hilarious for them because it would mean that they only have FF games to show. FFXIII-3, FFXIV, FFX/FFX-2 HD, FFVSXIII and FFXV
I don't know about the others but I can't say I'm super excited for FF games anymore. After XIII/XIII-2 I understand I have to keep my expectations in check.
There's not much doubt that a next-gen FF will appear. Unless SE will be going to E3 to showcase their new CG movie using Luminous
But seriously, the question is, is Versus going to appear at E3 at all? If it does, will it be rerevealed as FF XV? If it does, will it still be a PS3 game, or moved to PS4? What if it does get renamed, but is still not a numbered title, like Type-0? If that's the case, will they be revealing a brand new FF game that's XV (that will presumably have been in development using Luminous from the beginning, unlike Versus) at E3?

I think they meant that the demo would be running on a console. We've since seen that with PS4.

To me "something different" implies a game they're making using their tech, presumably FF XV. Because showing the same exact demo running on PS4 HW isn't really different. He's just being coy about it.
That's a possibility. But then why didn't they just move their "something different" up to the Feb Sony conference date, assuming it was completed by that point...

Dragon Quest? FFX|X-2 HD? KH HD? Their handheld titles?
I should reword that. Not exclusive for mainline FF. If Versus is XV I would expect exclusivity. If it's not, the 'real' FF XV won't be. Or FF XVI if Versus is XV.
There's also Drakengard 3 they have exclusive.

Tis all a part of the drama of life. We're all living in our own 'Final Fantasy'.
Microsoft is the three tiered final boss which gets progressively deformed with each stage.
Metal Gear did it, kind of anyway. Square have always been open to being exclusive and changing which first party they're working with. It's all about money, and if Sony can front a deal that makes sense for SE, it happens, if not, it doesn't.
