Arrested Development Season 4: The Bluths are making new mistakes!

George Michael definitely got bigger.

It's going to be weird seeing everyone slightly older looking.

Are there any other TV shows that got another season after a long hiatus? The only thing coming close in my mind is the reunion episode of Seinfeld that they did on Curb Your Enthusiasm. It was weird seeing that cast older too.

futurama and family guy are the other ones that come to mind

i think you could count firefly-->serenity too, even if it was a movie and not another season.

I wonder how Maeby aged, everyone else looks more or less the same in that pic except for that awful haircut Jason Bateman has. I thought I could rely on him looking the same seeing as how he still sports the same hair in real life since his AD days.

I wonder how Maeby aged,

very nicely

Xfiles also TV--->movie

Ahhh yes, I had forgotten about all of those.

5 days til the mini-doc goes up, hnnnnngggggg

Time is just zooming by! I actually dreamed that I had watched new AD last night. I also met Obama and got lost in the woods.

for everyone who cares: you can get some nice AD ringtones over here: http://mattersofgrey.com/arrested-development-ringtones/

dat afternoon delight sound : D
I've always, always wanted the theme song ring tone from the episode where they go to the cabin, and I have never been able to find it anywhere. :(

Promo advert on building on Sunset Blvd. in downtown LA, nearly finished. EDIT: Better pics

It looks like there's a security camera on the ceiling in the back, and Lucille has come kinda of house arrest ankle bracelet. In any case, it's looking more and more likely that the shipping container has some significant role to play in the new season. New staircar/cabin?

EDIT: Some further googling reveals it's more precisely about a block from the corner of Sunset and Van Ness

Also, FYI, I was down on Hayward and Fountain and there are ads EVERYWHERE. HUGE walls of posters, the FB teaser posters, individual family member posters, and long banners with the show's logo on them. So, so excited.

Marketing done right.

CAN'T.FUCKING.WAIT.

This is going to be great, but it's going to be different.

I'm thinking that AD fans who just want references to old jokes from the first 3 seasons might be disappointed. I'm sure references will be there, but 7 years later the show is going to have a different feel and style.

Super excited. I wonder if Netflix will crash from all the binge watching.

Arrested Development, Peep Show and The Simpsons are my favorite comedies.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of those things where it feels like it was done right after season three.

But yeah, I know what you're saying.

Well I for one certainly hope this is the case, the constant news of what feels like every single side character/cameo appearance from the first three seasons being cast in this season has me worried that it is going to be way too focused on rehashes and references to old jokes/characters.

I feel that Mitch is smarter than this, I'd much prefer new gags and references that are relevant to the overall arc of certain characters (like Tobias being black) rather than a million "blue myself" winks and nods. Kind of like how Valve distanced themselves from some of the jokes made in Portal 1.

Dallas springs to mind for the US, but it's a bit more common over here.

Doctor Who, Red Dwarf. Jonathan Creek last had a series in 2004 but has had occasional specials with another proper series coming up either later this year or the next. Superstars, too, had regular series then a long gap then further series and specials

I still live in hope for a Spaced season 3. Not *much* hope, but it's there.

You're blowing my mind, Frank.

But yes, that's what I'm trying to say - Mitch and co. are smarter and better than just doing more of the same. For some reason my gut feeling is that the humor is going to be a bit darker in tone. Still gut-bustingly hilarious, but a tad bit darker.

I have no basis for this but I have a feeling that Gob's will be very dark. Mid-life crisis dark.

I sure hope so, because fan-pandering is what kills returning series ALL THE FUCKING TIME.

Exactly. Fans mean well but sometimes they just don't know shit when it comes to making a good product. Just look some of the major kickstarter game projects - people pressured the Dreamfall creators into making a tiny nose stud optional because, well, they didn't like it...

When creators pander to fan requests and favorites, the characters become caricatures of themselves. It happened to Seinfeld, The Simpsons, and most other great shows. It's sort of happened to Community, but those circumstances are a bit different.

Saw an ad for this on a news stand in NYC, didn't think to take a picture though. It showed Maeby and had the text "Stick this in your instant queue" on the top. I'll be on the lookout for more. Can't believe we're getting new AD in like a month!

Jason Bateman's hair is going to be distracting for at least two or three episodes.

I don't know, from the tweets that Ron Howard put out, he looks the same:

I think there was also a promo screenshot put out that had him in it with Arnett and I don't remember him looking any different.

Speaking of hair, can I just mention how goddamn beautiful Portia looks with the shorter hair?
