Doesn't matter how great or heroic a man is, he will always be weak when it comes to women.
Broadwell is familiar to viewers of The Daily Show. She appeared on the program in Januaryalong with her husbandand participated in a push-up contest against host Jon Stewart for charity.
On the program, Stewart and Broadwell joked about how scandal-free Petraeus was, and the clearly-toned Broadwell talked about interviewing the general while the two worked out together.
That daily show interview with her is AMAZING in hindsight.
Paula Broadwell = "Yes, he's a very high energy person, and I think he does gain energy by thinking that he's consequential and that he's making a difference...."
man
everything there sounds like a double entendre of some sort
"And he, to get to know him, he wanted to run with you. So you ran together."
"This is the typical mechanism he uses to get to know young people, he's done it all his life... I thought I was gonna test him but he was gonna test me. It got to be kind of a test for both of us because we both ran pretty quickly. But that was the foundation for our (pause) relationship.."
Seriously watch this:

It's FUCKING AMAZING.
Somebody said it, but it's like Stewart knows and is actually talking about something else.
"So integrity's running in the whole family, I guess."
FUCK.
Education means nothing. All humans are unreliable, disgusting beings.Woman Linked to Petraeus Is a West Point Graduate and Lifelong High Achiever
Paula Broadwell, whose affair with the nations C.I.A. director led to his resignation on Friday, was the valedictorian of her high school class and homecoming queen, a fitness champion at West Point with a graduate degree from Harvard, and a model for a machine gun manufacturer.
She almost sounds like Petraeus herself.
Woah...That daily show interview with her is AMAZING in hindsight.

HOLY SHIT!Holy fuck, read this and tell me it doesn't sound like Broadwell's husband.
MY WIFES LOVER
My wife is having an affair with a government executive. His role is to manage a project whose progress is seen worldwide as a demonstration of American leadership. (This might seem hyperbolic, but it is not an exaggeration.) I have met with him on several occasions, and he has been gracious. (I doubt if he is aware of my knowledge.) I have watched the affair intensify over the last year, and I have also benefited from his generosity. He is engaged in work that I am passionate about and is absolutely the right person for the job. I strongly feel that exposing the affair will create a major distraction that would adversely impact the success of an important effort. My issue: Should I acknowledge this affair and finally force closure? Should I suffer in silence for the next year or two for a project I feel must succeed? Should I be true to my heart and walk away from the entire miserable situation and put the episode behind me? NAME WITHHELD

Yes the C.I.A purpose is to keep things hidden and someone who is a not good at doing this is unqualified. And no don't be dense, that does not refer to all of your politicians. One of the reason to keep things hidden is to avoid blackmail, hidden refers not necessarily hidden from the public alone, obviously.
I don't think you're getting this...you're advocating it's okay for people in positions of power to have some pretty significant personality faults, and as long as they are good at lying about them it's okay! LOL
That chick is way out of his league.
Not sure why Petraeus resigned. J. Edgar wore a dress for decades, but Petraeus gets a little lipstick on his collar and he has to resign? I'm a liberal and I find the thing odd.
Because J. Edgar was never caught, and had something on everyone.
Well, there are rumors that the mafia had something on him, and that's why the feds didn't start cracking down on them in earnest until after he died.
I don't find it as sad and pathetic as some others; I mean, at least I can imagine the circumstances under which it happened. Both him and the woman seen like genuinely "good" guys. They work closely together, they notice the high bar that each sets for him and herself, they admire the passion with which each serves his and her country, they respect the hell out of each other -- all of these strong emotions must have hormones working overtime. I guess there's only so much the human body can handle.
Off-topic, but I wonder how working with certain chemicals acting constantly affects a person's body physically (not talking about affairs). Like, if a nurse works in delivery, and she's constantly around babies, doesn't that constantly activate some chemical? Estrogen? I know high levels of estrogen can have negative effects. Would this be such a case?
He, J., definitely had dossiers on everyone.
There has to be more here than just an affair.
Or, she was just doing that for her own personal benefit. More likely IMO.
Maybe it's the emails. Maybe he wrote things like "CALL ME IM HRONY FOR UR BICEPS!", who knows. Imagine if she leaked those "thousands of emails over the past three months". Have you sent over 3000 emails in your life?
That chick is way out of his league.

Also I remember seeing the chick he had an affair with on Jon Stewart.
Funny how that happens.
Well, at least it's not Colombian prostitutes.

The stuff about bombarding the mistress with thousands of emails is pretty pathetic. Guess a few months of banging an 8-9 will do that to you after 37 years with Mrs Doubtfire.
Cannot believe he would cheat on his wife of thir....I wonder who will take his place.
The F.B.I. investigation that led to the resignation of David H. Petraeus as C.I.A. director on Friday began with a complaint several months ago about “harassing” e-mails sent by Paula Broadwell, Mr. Petraeus’s biographer, to an unidentified third person, a government official briefed on the case said Saturday.
[...]
The person who complained about harassing messages from Ms. Broadwell, according to the official, was not a family member or a government official. One Congressional official who was briefed on the matter on Friday said senior intelligence officials had explained that the F.B.I. investigation “started with two women.”
So wow it got outed because she has a big mouth and threatened someone else? This is getting better and better.
You know, thinking about this some more, it kind of makes me sad.
If a guy who is supposed to be disciplined, principled, and in a high position of power where personal integrity and self control is supposed to be primary attributes can cheat on his wife, what hope does that give the rest of us?
I dunno, man. I don't want to think that I could put my wife and daughter through something like that, but man, if Petraeus can fall, who among us can stand?
Please. A fugly geeky dude falling for some hero worship tail is not surprising. You can be a better man than Petraeus easily.
Just wait till the porn parody.
"That sure is a big...medal you got there."
So wow it got outed because she has a big mouth and threatened someone else? This is getting better and better.
Different from the other article for sure. Would death threats be fbi territory?
In one incident that caught the CIA staff by surprise, Broadwell posted a photograph on her Facebook page of Petraeus with actress Angelina Jolie, taken in his 7th floor office where only the official CIA photographer is permitted to take photos. Petraeus had apparently given Broadwell the photo just hours after it was taken.

WTF was Jolie doing there? lol
Can someone explain to me why Petraeus is as highly regarded as he is? What particularly set him apart in the Iraq war? Was his strategy unorthodox? And can Iraq be deemed a 'success'?
He was one of the masterminds who helped implement the Surge, to quell the insurgents.
