Ipsi Ipsi , which team do you think is the favorite to win the East?

Miami (Giannis + Bam)
Philadelphia (Embiid + Brown)
Cleveland (Harden + Mitchell)
Boston (lol)
Toronto (Kawhi + Barret)
Washington (Trae+ Ayabusa)
New York ( 🏆)
Detroit (2026 #1 East seed)
Orlando (could be the Eastern version of the Spurs)
Indiana (will Haliburton stay healthy)

I never watch g league so I didn't know about this. I really like it. If you get fouled attempting a 3 and miss, you get one free throw worth 3 points. If you made the 3, nothing changes. Same with 2's. And last two minutes of regulation and all of overtime, when the pressure is on, it's back to having to attempt one point shots on all free throws.

Lebron is lazy AF on defense. At his age, he can only play both ends in small spurts. LeBron is gonna change that Knick culture if he joins them. Franchise might still go for this as LeBron in MSG is must see TV.

Weird fucking choice that
Is it really? It represents his best chance at a 5th championship, without joining the Knicks, OKC or the Spurs. If the 76er's pull it off, it will be the top story of the year. There are so many big games because of this (e.g., Boston x Philly, Lakers x Philly, Cavs. x Philly, etc.).

He's still a very good player even in his age, and to get him for 8M per year (?, or is it for 2 years) seems crazy. As a Laker fan, I was hoping he would give the Lakers this discount. But I see why he left, considering the Lakers had moved on.

As a Lakers fan I hoped for the same but we never got it otherwise we could've fixed our team. You truly see 76ers as a championship contender? I don't see it at all

Well the 76ers got into the second round last year, and this Summer they turned PG + picks into Lebron James and Jaylen Brown (as I don't see Lebron joining them without the Brown move). This is an amazing haul for PG. It both weakens the Celtics and makes the 76ers much better. It's all on paper, but this team seems more talented than the Knicks.

So, I think they certainly are a championship contender. Even with the Knicks winning last year, I feel that the East is an easier path than him joining Golden State or staying with my Lakers and trying the beat the Spurs or OKC. I also think that this is a better team than what he could make in Miami or Cleveland.

Absolutely and I don't disagree with you at all mate. Eastern conference is ass like always so yes, I can see them reaching conference finals. But that's about it. OKC or even Spurs can murder them next season

I also wouldn't depend on Embiid. Glass man

Agreed. Embiid is definitely a concern. I think they are thinking, the fact that he has so much help now allows him to be preserved more for the play-offs more. Who knows, bodies that big just don't seem to last with how the NBA is played nowadays.

If he was in the 80's and all he had to do was to stand around the rim, he'd have a long career. To have a guy like him taking 3's, and switching constantly to defending point guards would be completely unbelievable to fans from the 80's (which I am), and certainly shortens his career. I miss those days when it wasn't just dunks / lay-ups and threes, when they used the whole court... but numbers don't lie that it is a more efficient use of shots to shoot 3's all the time.

That said, I think the viewership numbers show that fans don't like to new way the game is played. There are games where both teams miss like six 3's in a row... in years past, that would be 3-4 good 2 point shots and 1 missed three. It is so much uglier and far less a show of skill, rather than just spacing and jacking up 3's.
