Launch trailer looks great... my biggest complaint just from watching trailers so far is that they fucking ruined Cortana. What a bunch of fucking retards.

As a heads up if you do not agree with the terms of service and they were not presented to you at the time of purchase you can request a refund for the license you purchased from all the major digital stores and physical stores.

While these are hoops to jump through you can get your money back. But if you accept their terms and play the game then you own a licenses to that title that in most cases you cannot get a refund (steam being the obvious outlier here).

Here are the requirements as listed on the PS app. It is very odd to me that they don't list the gamertag requirement thing mentioned earlier in this thread. While I am not going to buy the game I figured this would have made the rounds earlier today and yesterday on social media.

I'm more concerned about it being there to begin with. Why do we have to give our information just to play a game?

I could play the splitscreen multiplayer today in couch co-op, even if it isn't very good by today's standards. I've spent hundreds, if not thousands, of hours playing Halo 1 multiplayer and co-op. Cutting that out is a big mistake for me.

Same. Look I get what you are saying but 99% of folks wouldn't give it more than Ten minutes.
 
Caved in and got the premium edition for some fucking reason (temporary boredom, mostly).
It's gonna be interesting to see sales numbers on PS5 for this one, feels like it might be somewhat of a deciding factor regarding Xbox's exclusivity strategy going forward even if they've pinky promised on it being "permanent".
 
That 10/10 review that openly says that no multiplayer is a dent in the game is exactly why I can't trust reviews these days. It's just ass kissing at that point with no integrity.
 
Honestly, an 85 is a bit higher than I expected. The remake looks great, graphics are awesome, but the level design is still 25 years old. If not for game pass, I wouldn't buy this.

Edit: I'm so fucking tired of remakes. I'll play this for a few hours and never touch it again. Probably not even a few hours.

Yup and there's too many of them on youtube its insane. I'm all for laughing at dustborn or veilguard, but at one point the way these guys are going at it, it's a clown show. They're already trying to frame GTA 6 as woke, likely the next big target for clicks.

I mean, I remember the original Halo.

The muliplayer sucked. It was local splitscreen only the and pistol/sidearm or whatever you started with was so OP it was unplayable.

Everybody on here saying Halo is multiplayer.

I'm not sure they were playing Halo when it launched. Multiplayer was a novelty addon for that game iirc, and the multiplayer did not become what Halo was about until 2. 2 was huge man. I was in college when it came out and it changed our lives.

How does IGN not have a review up for a campaign only release of Halo? Pathetic. Hell they could even engagement farm it coming to playstation.
They went from having terrible reviews to not being able to put out the review. ha!

GamePass my guy. 1-month codes on Loaded for $12, which to me is a fair price for a playthrough on this. Don't need to own it.

Probably has to do with what the expectations are today of a Halo game if anything.

Hmm, gameseal and eneba has 1 month nonstackable GPU under $10, maybe I'll do that.

Weird. It didn't pop up for me til now. I reloaded the main page and their games review page. Wasn't there a few min ago for me.

At one point, I stopped playing long-session games ( 3 to 5 hours is what I consider long session for single-player games; online games are different ). And I figured it's probably due to age/family/responsibilities etc.

It turned out the problem is with the games. The new games sucks man. Because here I am playing this since morning and I am having a blast. Game is so much fun, and the gameplay is the best since it came out 25 years ago. Satisfying gameplay. Banger music. Seriously a great game.

Maybe nostalgia kicked in. Was able to get the premium edition from gg deals for 84$ Canadian ( standard price here is 79$ after taxes so 84 to play early isn't bad at all )

This and the new Gears will keep me busy till mw4. But honestly, this game is really worth the purchase. Good port. Good job studio


I could have waited and game pass it. And maybe it was the smartest choice. But Halo is a game that I grew up with and made me love the Xbox. And it's one of those games that you play every now and then with ur friend co-op. It's fun

I'm of the same mind. It's why remakes are my most locked in games.

I'm playing KH2 final mix and I can't get enough. Crimson Desert I got to about 30 hours and had a good time but never felt I needed to keep playing. It just felt like a stop gap until something with a real hook comes along.

Thats modern gaming in a nut shell. High cost entry barrier for stop gaps we drop for maybe 1-2 REAL cocaine bangers a year if we are lucky.
 
Honestly about what I expected. It's a remake of the weakest game in the original trilogy and doesn't have all the content. Also single-player FPS just isn't as hot as what it was when the original released.

The game probably needed a better price to match it's expectations + have more modes / features to balance

Mr Matty's review details a lot of things more geared to the die hard Halo fan. Definitely some things in it that I would be annoyed by, but I'll pick it up at some point, I'm just in no urgency stop buy it any time soon,
