Actually closer to 90-95% digital when all platforms are considered.
People can complain on X and NeoGAF all they want, but Sony listens to wallets..
It looks like a lot of talk with very little action. If 90% of you are buying digital, Sony is going to see this backlash as nothing more than fake outrage.

This has been proven to be BS. Every downloadable piece of content, even a free dlc or a purchase of vbucks, is counted against the total percentage. It's horse shit.

Also, single player games have typically a higher disc adoption rate but this generation Sony decided to light money on fire with abysmal failure GAAS dice rolls instead of developing any single player games. But, as an example, Astro Bot was reported to be about a 50/50 split.

You don't understand what I posted.
Numbers are designed to look that way. If they posted % for games that available on disc it would look different that that - apples to apples comparison.
Right now they are comparing all digital sales vs. limited numbers of games that even gets physical releases.

They're removing an option entirely that there's clearly a consumer (and retailer!) demand for to prioritize shareholders OVER customers. The shareholders want to remove an option to make more money per game sale from the customers. Do you guys fucking get it?! That's it! It's not rocket science.

If you're going to respond to me, please don't do so with nonsense. In no way, shape or form does 85% of revenue from full-game sales being from digital purchases equate to "90% of PlayStation gamers are all-digital", which is what the person I quoted was implying. If you can't understand something as basic as that then there's no point in continuing this discussion.

Even if it's in units sold, it doesn't change anything. Saying that 85% of software units sold are digital still in no way, shape or form equates to "90% of PlayStation gamers are all-digital". I don't understand how anybody could think that it does.

It is much easier to kill the downloads behind GKC because they can say they don't owe anything to anyone.
But we are seeing Sony removing content from accounts pretty easily as well, so maybe it doesn't matter and nobody cares about people being scammed.
