That's why it's so easy to play this game over and over again. I did dozens if not 100+ runs back when SF64 released. I did the same with the original SNES StarFox too. None of the other games have compared at all.
I finally got all the medals on Normal mode and all alternative routes. Going to take a break from the game and work on some other stuff but I'll keep it installed so I can work on challenge mode and expert difficulty when I need a quick fix.
Maybe this is just a Mandela Effect thing but does anyone else remember the fake out from the Meteo Crusher boss being different in earlier games? I swear he said something along the lines of "I admit defeat…. IF THIS DOESNT WORK!" Instead I see that Falco interrupts and says essentially "Don't trust him" and the boss basically agrees with Falco. Apparently Falco had always interrupted him? It doesn't feel right.
Funny you say this, I thought the same thing. Apparently its dependent on a certain factor when you get there. I think if you take too long to beat him is when it triggers but I cant remember. All I know is I absolutely love the line.

I like it better the way he shouts "IF THIS DOESNT WORK!" Kinda adds dramatic tension. Also Falco breaking in to state the obvious just kinda makes the set up fall flat imo. I think I'm just going to take the boss more slowly then whenever I get to him in further playthroughs.
Dude I love this game so much. Even the multiplayer is fun, in a Halo 1 LAN sort of way. Velan really knocked it out of the park. I hope we see more from then on Nintendo's behalf.
I never got the impression from the original that 'Star Fox' was a band of mercs just mostly doing it for money, more that they were a military special forces type thing. Am I wrong on that?
I thought the same but then I realized, why would the Corneria military ask Star Fox for help if they were regular military? They'd just tell them to fight and stfu.
