It was never about convenience at least not for devs/pubs.Digital is not about our convenience anymore, it's about controlling what consumers do.
Fuck off not including the disc at launch. I have a feeling I'm in the same boat as a lot of you who were planning to sell it once the proper PC version comes out
Unfortunately I'm a sucker for R* games and I can't wait. Would've loved to play it day one PCFuck off not including the disc at launch. I have a feeling I'm in the same boat as a lot of you who were planning to sell it once the proper PC version comes out
Most probably yes. Thats what we're all expectingCan we expect a new trailer tommorrow? I don't think so honestly all we got were new Screenshots.
Most Japanese games contain the full game on disc and don't need day 1 patch. All Nintendo (except for Pokemon, but they don't fully own it) and Sony 1st party single player games are playable from the physical copy without day 1 patch. Its just western publishers like EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft, Warner Bros (funny that they talk about importance of Physical media in movies) and now Rockstar who do this.Isn't that the road the industry took for a couple of years now?
Yup. Corporate data centers running 24/7 are great for the environment compared to a little bit of plastic /sRockstar single handedly saved global climate change
It's the main reason I wasted so much money on a PS5 Pro so I'll be buying it at launch, but will be selling both once the PC version is outUnfortunately I'm a sucker for R* games and I can't wait. Would've loved to play it day one PC
I probably will go with Series S for GTA VI and play it properly on PC.It's the main reason I wasted so much money on a PS5 Pro so I'll be buying it at launch, but will be selling both once the PC version is out

Bullshit. You can make the disc useless until connected online at release day. Activision have done this many times to prevent leaks. They did it to kill off the used games market.Clearly it's the leaks and not that they want to squeeze every last dollar out of you.
Nothing is where an industry is going if people reject it. The problem is not enough people reject it. Reject it and it's not where the industry is going. This is where the industry is going unfortunately. Not just Take Two. Now the game will not be resold in any way shape or form. Let's face it, PC is all digital. Xbox is already all about codes in boxes for years. Sony is alongside Nintendo the one ones that still have the full games on discs...but it's just a matter of time for Sony and then Nintendo in a few years.
That was 13 years ago. But man what a time to be alive. That's the difference between having Playstation being run by gamers and people that understood videogames instead of corporate suits.
Let's see if they get backlash for not even having a disc.
I don't think this will become a trend. Not every game is GTA 6. Rockstar could sell GTA 6 in a box of shit, and people would still buy it.
This is simply the result of GTA VI being the biggest entertainment product ever made.
Those who wanted to rent a PS5 just to play this game are too.Gamefly users like us are fucked on this one, I guess, lol.
Every GTA came with a physical map/poster, not anymore I guess.....
Something to read on the shitter
Numbers says they are more likely to beat the game before early adopters.I don't see anyone buying the game at all now.

Next gen digital ONLY confirmed

What I meant to say is that I would have sold both. Now I can't obvs. How will you sell a digital purchase?
