Never forget, part of why ResetERA was formed is because a lot of the mods on GAF who'd eventually defect were pals with AmiROX, who got busted by the feds for pedophilia content on his computers (
tons of it). And those same mods & admin were scared shitless if any of it linked back to them (why be scared if you weren't actively sharing material?
) and tried scrubbing tons of AmiROX-related stuff from the servers.
So when the (fake) allegations against EviLore (#MeToo stuff; the girl later admitted she was bullshitting) came out, I think a lot of those mods & people who defected used that as a cover to do so. But always felt it was mainly around the AmiROX (and related; there was another user suspected of collecting pedophilic content too) thing. Basically the long way of saying: normal-functioning & innocent people don't turn Kim's quote into a 9-page projection/accusation thread unless they've got stuff on their hard drives that might need an investigation. Or they're close with someone who does. IJS.
