In a game like Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter you also play as 16 year old girl and yet it didn't stop me from enjoying the game and it wont stop me from enjoying Xenoblade Genesis.

Again this is nothing new, GAF cried about Xenoblade 2 Rex design and cried over Xenoblade 3 Noah design they do same here.

I have been through this with Xenoblade 2 people bitching over Rex's design, I would say do whatever you want.

I haven't played 2 but I swear when I tried to remember the MC's design, I saw blue pants but then my mind's eye pulled up Luso's concept art and that's all I can see now. I can rotate apples in my head all day but also only pizza cutter swords otherwise.

Xenoblade Genesis is actually Xenoblade Rama.

That's a great book, I read that one for the first time two years ago. So I would be fine if they take the inspiration for the world from those Rama books

one thing that threw me off is the stupid team/squad vibe. Whatever happened to meeting your comrades along the way? I assume they've never heard about sex either. That was when I stopped playing XB3. I want to like it but I haven't really been impressed by anything other than the environments and the monsters.

If you had kept playing xbc3 you would know they did hear about sex

I played a bit of the wii version of xenoblade 1 and was actually considering picking up the switch version. But I ended up changing my mind because the updated art style looks pretty much like this. I'm not sure if it's because of the modern graphics, but the switch version feels a lot more anime-inspired. The wii version looked much better to me — I remember it having a vibe similar to final fantasy 12.

Yeah, on the surface it was kind of safe/uninspired. But Monolith has my complete trust. Can't wait to see what kind of tweaks they've made to the battle system, I'm ready to topple, launch and juggle enemies like a real anime chudette.

Yeah I agree, the world design looks so interesting, I really like to know how traversal gonna be like.

Will need to see more of what the story is about before I jump into this one. The premise so far isn't very promising to me after being let down by X, 2, & 3 story wise. Xenoblade 1 was the last one I enjoyed TBH and even then it had parts where it slogs. Hoping this one is more xenogears/xenosaga caliber.

It could very well be, when I saw the trailer for the first time it reminded me of the space colonies you see in Gundam.

But with that being said there is crash site of giant ass spaceship in this game, if this was Space Colony it wouldn't survive crash from spaceship that size. All it takes one small explosion to suck everyone and everything to vacuum of space let alone giant spaceship crashing in to it.
