Looks good and runs much smoother now. It doesn't look like they've done much aside from a resolution and frame rate boost. Although I guess they never said they did more then that. The foliage still does that weird thing where you can see a straight line where it paints in ahead of you as you run.

It is a decent enough upgrade for anyone wanting to play through the game for the first time or replay it. I think it would have been better priced at $5 though. I think the upgrade for part 2 will have a bigger impact since that one can run like dogshit a lot of the times.

Ugh, right? I'm 10 hours in to FFVII Rebirth, Adventures of Elliott next week, now I wanna do a Xenoblade 1 replay ASAP...

I'm 103 hours into Rebirth.... The last two chapters go completely off the rails and not in a good way...

I'm on Chapter 10 of Xenoblade Chronicles with 27 hours played. Haven't touched it in about four years. Probably will grab the upgrade and see if I can pick up where I left off.

I've played every Xenoblade game and have never finished one. Looking forward to the XC3 update the most.

Sweet! Glad I bought Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition a while back but hadn't booted it up yet. Played about 15 hours of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, as well, but dropped it for something else. Definitely looking forward to playing both in their Switch 2 versions.

When I said we think it's fixed here I meant with the Switch 2 Edition of Xenoblade 1. Sorry for the confusion.

Additional content I am fine paying for. Rendering stuff with higher resolution and higher FPS count shouldn't require them going out of their way nowadays, unless their engine is really peculiar... That should just be a result of playing stuff on a more powerful system. Nintendo did this with the Zelda games as well. I think it's a shitty practice, and they do it just because they can.

At least it doesn't seem as noticeable as Xenoblade X, but it's still there. There is no chance they are going to fix Xenoblade X at this point, this seems to be solution they are going to use for all Xenoblade games, potentially even Xenoblade Genesis?

On ebay they're still 40-$50 plus then I gotta upgrade. I dunno. I would imagine these are going to be $70 USD, would rather get the legit S2 edition. Also I didn't realize Chronicles X was a separate universe, I could nab that one used.
