After Sony's poor showing and Microsoft's showing however you feel about it. Nintendo really needs to drive this direct home and set-up the rest of the year, bring out some big guns and bury the competition. I suspect they won't and will be pretty calm about it all. Hold nothing back.

I completely agree with this. I was actually talking about it in a TOTK thread, I think. A lot of people forget that Link was originally conceived as a kid, which is pretty obvious when you look at the early artwork. The thing is, Link doesn't really age, but the player does. He was also a kid so players could identify with him. Back in the NES days, there weren't many adults playing video games. From Nintendo's perspective, Link remains young—a teenager or young adult at most—and I don't see that changing much. I'd be very surprised if they ever made him genuinely old as a playable character.

It always does tho. Every direct has insane expectations and its just a bunch of old 3rd party ports and some remasters all the time

I know i probably demand too much but new xenoblade from monolith soft, just reveal trailer, and on top proper gameplay trailer from miyazaki's duskbloods + ocarina of time remaster would be splendid to see, man can dream
