I think its just an easy button to push on people. Everyone not in The Files more or less considers pedophillia to be perhaps the single worst trait that a person can have, often worse than being an actual murderer, so people get really defensive when anything that suggests they are getting anywhere near that territory crops up.
People who want to hate on the franchise will hammer that button with delight because it makes their flamewar rivals upset and the more upset and defensive they are the easier it is to pull the "why you so upset bro?" card.
To be fair I also think the face looks a bit too young for me in that first look at her face, but in the rest of trailer it is not nearly so noticeable and some people DO just look like that, with naturally chubby and rounded features on the face. Folks just have their panties in a twist.

The only debate is what range of how much people suck at noticing how old asian women look. People already showed models in their late 20s/early 30s able to match the basic features and proportions.

Publishing deals and acquisitions don't really happen because a dev dreams of having a boss. They happen because the financial reality required it.
