Or is it just one of Adam's balls in my throat?
Is the purple place banning Stellar Blade? The announcement thread is locked lmao.
Because those idiots went overboard with the comments. Some calling eve even a 8 years old lmaoIs the purple place banning Stellar Blade? The announcement thread is locked lmao.
It will release on the current generation. It wil be next gen time line for sure 2028 or 2029.
This thread is really going places. We're talking about AI now, age of consent, etc. Gaf truly is at its peak. Not a good peak, but a peak nonetheless.
I didn't say 22 was an issue.. the younger end is though...22 is an issue? how?
also Chatgpt is retarded, so why does anyone care what it says in the first place lol
I didn't say 22 was an issue.. the younger end is though...
Everything and anything triggers and make people complain!a feminine face and figure really triggers some people huh
unless she strips naked and takes a BBC midway through the game, I don't see how either of them is an issue.
Its a free publicity for shift up and its just an early stage of game development which we might see the the game launch around 2028 or 2029, next gen ps6 era.
R4 Ridge Racer's opening sequence is one of my favorites from that generation.
Man I miss when Japanese studios used to have beautiful poster girl characters like this for their brands. The 90s and 00s were a wonderful time culturally in Japan and America and I want it back.
Cross gen, like everything will be until 2031...It will release on the current generation.
My closet is clean mate check your own.Such a weird take, I could say the same people getting boners from what looks like teenagers are the same people that would sign up to go to Epstein's island. See how stupid that sounds? Bad enough of course you bring in trans/gay related into the conversation (as if its relevant) because they're on your mind 24/7 for some odd reason.......... might have to check that closet of yours.
On topic though the game looks sick af. The dodging aspect looked really cool I'm wondering how that is implemented.
Nah man. She looks badass and the short stature fits the boxing fighting style, kinda like the Hajime no Ippo dude.Evie kinda looks like she should be the side kick to the actual main character. Like the younger and more green soldier who tags along as support. That's basically what Lily was.
I was thinking of this exact thing before like her design is good along with every other character design from Shift Up but she looks more like a sidekick support type similar to Lily instead of the main.Evie kinda looks like she should be the side kick to the actual main character. Like the younger and more green soldier who tags along as support. That's basically what Lily was.

Short girls have rights! (to be main characters)I mean I'll keep an open mind about it obviously, but that's the vibe I've been having and I figured out another way to put it into words. Like in any other game she would be the cut and spunky side kick or support character that travels with the protagonist.

I literally said in my post that this video game is fictional not real, have to imagine you realize robotic. Brass knuckles with light ing blades that come out their sides arent real right? The point that flew right past you is this is Asian art designed with Asian artistic sensibilities. The exact same thing westerners do with their characters, hence why western females are designed to be so masculine, covered up, sexless and girl bossy. This isn't a real Asian woman tho, and we're not talking about a real woman's appearance. This is a character designed from scratch for an international audience. The devs chose her face, proportions, outfit and jiggle animation. The result looks like a sexualised minor. You can disagree, but let's not pretend there's nothing questionable about the design.
Such reddit, much tears, 0 brain cells.Wow, such response, much argument... ignored.
Whatever you say enlightened westerner. Don't forget your Fedora on your way out :^)Better to remain ignorant than to fall into the self-deception of seeing that girl as a grown woman. I sleep more soundly...
Ah... that must be it. That's why this character looks like a kid to me.It's literally a clash of cultures, but you're so deep in your western bubble you can't understand that
I'm glad we have our very own Asian expert.Thankfully I'm some who's grown up with media from several parts of the world and understand that different people are different.
Look, dont expect Koreans to make their characters to look "of age" based on our population's rough looks. LOLI loved Stellar Blade and was almost certainly going to pick this up on day one, but, after this reveal? I don't know any more. I have issues with the character design.
Dressing Eve up in sexy outfits and having her do martial arts involving suggestive poses with conveniently placed camera angles to highlight her body in the first game was a-ok in my book, because she clearly was an adult. Same goes for what little I played of Nikke.
But here? Eh. It bothers me. This character is riding the line a little too much. Her face is very young looking. Like 14 or 15 years old. And the you combine that with the shorter stature and the less curvy body and this just looks like a child to me. The idea that she's going to be in similar poses and similar skimpy outfits to Eve with similar camera zooms doesn't seem right.
Lets just for arguments' sake accept what you're saying is true. How does that make it better?Look, dont expect Koreans to make their characters to look "of age" based on our population's rough looks. LOL
Evie looks like 13 year olds here, but she's more like 21 year olds over there. I dont think its pure genetics either. Koreans born and raised here age faster. Im not trying to be funny either.
I grew up here. Of course I see 13. I also have hard time telling Asian faces apart. You and I forcing our subjective eyes on their creation is dumb. You feel uncomfy? Then simply dont buy it. EASY.Lets just for arguments' sake accept what you're saying is true. How does that make it better?
She looks like a teen by western standards. You yourself think she looks 13 by your comment. That means you're playing as a character that looks like an early teen, can dress her up in sexy outfits, and make her do sexy poses while the camera zooms in on her tits and ass. I don't like that.
And again, let me be clear, I loved all those things in Stellar Blade 1. But Eve was clearly an adult. By any standards. The fact that we're having this debate here in NeoGAF of all places means Evie is, at the very least, pushing the boundaries of what constitutes a child and what constitutes an adult.
I'm not going to. And that's my point. They just took a fan of the first game who paid full price, bought all the DLC, and even bought the soundtrack which I almost never do and I was a guaranteed day one purchaser and lost me by deciding it was a good idea to make their main character, who is going to be oggled by the camera, resemble an underage girl. And I don't think I'm alone.I grew up here. Of course I see 13. I also have hard time telling Asian faces apart. You and I forcing our subjective eyes on their creation is dumb. You feel uncomfy? Then simply dont buy it. EASY.
Is this not right too?I loved Stellar Blade and was almost certainly going to pick this up on day one, but, after this reveal? I don't know any more. I have issues with the character design.

Nope, I don't like that either. Is this not right too?

You guys can all get together and enjoy playing Laufeo instead then.I'm not going to. And that's my point. Well Eve's body model was back in the studio with ShiftUp a few weeks ago, so we're very likely going to see her again, at a minimum.Evie kinda looks like she should be the side kick to the actual main character. Like the younger and more green soldier who tags along as support. That's basically what Lily was.
Why do you assume I'm playing Laufey? Why is it one extreme or the other with so many people on this board? You guys can all get together and enjoy playing Laufeo instead then.
Children to you, 21 year old to Koreans who made the damn game. Why do you assume I'm playing Laufey? Why is it one extreme or the other with so many people on this board?
I played the PS4 GoW and was mostly bored by it and never bothered with Ragnarok and Laufey looks identical, so I'm not going to bother with Laufey either.
Is it so hard to understand that I like sexy heroines in my media when they look like adult women, you know, like Eve from SB1? And not children, you know, like Evie from SB2?
Says the guy who said she looks 13. Enjoy oggling the 13 year old resembling character.Children to you, 21 year old to Koreans who made the damn game.
Im only genetically Korean. I'm white on the inside since I grew up in fucking Cincinnasty Ohio (terrible place. Ask dark10X lol).Says the guy who said she looks 13. Enjoy oggling the 13 year old resembling character.
The ghost is the shell vibe is really what grabbed me here too.looks very Ghost in the Shell. great butt.
looks like Stellar Blade 1 is like $30 or so now. So I should get to it. Looks more action-y than a souls-like hopefully.
