I'm 23 hours into Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (Switch OLED)
I got my MC to Level 80
I beat the boss Paranoia an got the
Mirror ablities. I'm going to try to fill out the rest of the map before I go to Second Dario Bossi Fight. I'm on the path to the True Ending still
So far the game is fantastic and it's an improvement in regards to spriteworks and backgrounds in comparsion to Harmony of Dissoance. I still loved Harmony of Dissonance but I can under why people don't like that one
One of the games most unique parts to it is that there are three numbered slot doors
573
666
777
Each one of these numbers are written on one door and when you go near it, the slots start to run and let you know if you have the correct amount
To enter those rooms that they are guarding, the last three digits of the gold you have, have to correspond with the number on the door, than it will let you in. 1666 would be fine since the last three digits have that exact number to the 666 door
I got into the 573 Room and got the Shaman Ring which really increases my experience I get from slaying enemies
The 666 door gives me the gold ring which greatly increases gold drops from enemies
The 777 door gives me an armor that really boost Luck, Intelligence and CON
It wasn't annoying but it was a tedious process just making sure I hit the specific amount that is needed to get through one of the doors and making sure I don't pick up any gold accidentally while on the way to the specific numbered slot doors
While I enjoy it I noticed that from my playthrough of Harmony of Dissonance, that the setting is somewhat recycled and enemies are reused. I just hope Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecceslia isn't like that. But the animations, pixel art and sprite work has massively improved from Harmony of Dissonance I noticed
You weren't kidding, I'm already finished the game.
Back in PS2 the game felt longer for some reason.
Curious does the game have quick saves? I've been noticing how much time I spend saving in the quick save alot and when I screw up in Dawn of Sorrow, I just reload the quick save and do the process again. I noticed that some games felt longer back than due to not having the ability to quick save
Or your skills as a gamer has really improved
