Just quick summary for ppl asking why game is/claiming game isnt woke:

41yo ugly granny as protag( mid face, no ass nor tits to look at)
overwhelimg purple colour palete
cringe dialogues
st00pid cube companion that u talk to a lot with, huge forspoken vibes

Now if game was targetted at males we would get:
Kratos(or at the very least young adult artorias but much more manly/muscular/gritty)
Tons of blue and blood in colour palete
Dark/brutal dialogues, including cursing, less japping, more one-liners arnie style
Companion- demon/hellspawn/menancing dragon/wild wolf or stuff like that

All those point to heavy pandering towards modern audience aka women and likely were chosen after hard focus-testing.

And remember we all saw it in just 20min(more like 15min really) of the demo, in actual game im sure we will find tons more of that shit.

What i like/got no complains about-fast paced and very agile combat system/animations/graphics lvl, story setting in the death realm has potential too, but pretty sure it will all be womenized unfortunately =/

Half Life Alyx is an example where the main character was replaced with a female lead and did very well.

There are plenty of secondary characters in all Tomb Raider games, that stay on screen much longer than Kratos dead wife was.
In Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness you even play a small section with a dude that looks alot like Nathan Drake (Kurtis Trent), did they made an entire Tomb Raider featuring him as the main character? No, cuz no Tomb Raider fan wants that.

First half of Ragnarok was literally about how since Faye could foresee every step they take, than is there any free will on their part and can they resist fate.

I do admit that Aloy looks better in the first game, and MJ could look better based on how she look in the first gime, too.

The girl from Intergalactic is prefectly fine. She doesn't need to be pretty, or have long hair, or be white to make a good character. (We don't yet know the full personality she will have in the game). Also, physically, she looks just like the actress playing her, so there is nothing wrong with that. The same about Faye.

Another thing, is that these women are in a place where they need to fight, get messy, so of course you won't see them wearing makeup and look pretty.

To me, and this is my opinion, people are exaggerating too much. I do think that established girls need stay that way. Lara Croft for example, I do expect her to be pretty (and they made here pretty in the new remake). A new character? I don't really care, as long as it fit contextually, and in these examples, I believe everyone fits well in their role.

This is beyond dumb and I'm saying it after doing a similar trick in my book saga, but unlike SSM, I did it with FORESHADOWING and HINTS since the very first page. I pay attention to this stuff and there was nothing that hinted in that direction in those games.

It's not a spin off. God of War is now the Avengers. Kratos is one of them. A thread in the "tapestry", for better or worse. There will be Kratos focused stories too, but there could be others as well. And given the time it takes to make these games, this could be decades of future games if they sell well.
I think this was why Cory came back. He pitched to Santa Monica that he will reboot the series and turn it into a full universe with lots of potential for numerous stories, franchises, TV shows, movies etc. Or they pitched it to him so he can come back, mentor new directors and oversee all these projects. Either way, this seems to be the future. An ambitious one for the studio, whether we as gamers like it or not. But will it actually be any good? Only time will tell. If they start retconning Kratos' entire history just to accommodate all these new characters, it won't end well. I'm not saying that's what they are doing, but the way Faye's death has already been made "not final and anything can happen", suggests they are not shy to cross the line.

I'm fine with playing her as a dead woman on a different plane of existence, trying to influence and help her family. But if she physically comes back to one of the 9 realms like it was all a party trick with no major consequence, they will lose me. Lol

I too was taken aback by the cube when I first saw it, until I saw how it worked as an assist element in combat. Only then did I go, ok, lets see where they are going with this.

As for the ribbons being the only sidekick, to me, I see this as no different than the other entries in the series. You have always had two sidekicks, with the only difference here being that now both of them directly tie into the combat and gameplay. Unless you forget that Kratos had Atreus and a talking head.

I rarely pay attention to "side quest" games, or movies.

The woke issue is something that we have to deal with in every studios, sometimes it's mind reading and it may or may not be relevant in this case ... I don't feel like being outraged over a red head.
