I can get behind some of the complaints here but this whining about the combat is simply showing your ass, like you know nothing about how GoW combat systems have worked since the first god damn game.
This combat looks generally very good. Like the best bits of GoW 2018 & Ragnarok combat (weight, dynamic set-pieces, parry system, over the shoulder PoV) and merged them in with elements from the older trilogy (feels faster and more brutal, hopefully more finisher variety etc).
Also, this Everywhen seems to be a hub for all pantheon gods after death. So potentially some returning faces? (Odin? Zeus? Baldur?), as well as gods from lots of regional historical pantheons (already showing Chinese, Mongolian/Tibetan & Egyptian).
Finally, All this whining about "Why call it GoW" is silly, because it's simply the next entry in the franchise (itself named after the main character). Kratos does not have a monopoly on being the God of War, as he took the mantle from Aries in the first game, and equally went toe-to-toe with Thor in the norse saga. Already in this trailer we see another God of War represented;
Begtse.
