camera film development service. haven't done that in a long time! maybe a couple decades ago.

bought some disposable cameras in tokyo and sending them off to get developed :messenger_smiling_with_eyes:
 
currently trying to explain to my wife why we need to spend 600 bucks on a Sony CRT TV from 1993 so I can play 30 year old videogames in their natural habitat

and also that I need to borrow her car to collect it 200 miles away cause that bitch so big it wont fit in my trunk

Look at Facebook and you can find them for $50 to $100 many times. I had one given to me. I ended up giving it away to a kid that wanted to retro game. No reason to spend $600.

I want a very specific model for nostalgia and connectivity reasons unfortunately but yes you correct. I live in the UK so options are extremely limited, most of them are in landfills by now
 
My old laptop's been chugging along for ages now with just 8GB of RAM, so just got another stick for £20 on eBay. Also got some extra paste, some wipes, some thermal pads and will probs grab a new battery; and double up the second SSD. Needs a full clean out.

Need to just get a new laptop really but I'm incredibly fussy and have to go through the obligatory one month of painstaking research phase before pulling the trigger. At least I'll have a solid, functioning secondary to fall back on afterwards.

I feel you. Ever since the Neogeo AES+ announcement I've been skimming online for a good local CRT. Can't believe I regret getting rid of my old Sony WEGA 32in flat CRT so long ago now
 
Countertop dishwasher, identical to this (same device is sold under multiple names in Europe).
Can fit anywhere, can run without water connection. Won't fit pans because of the handle but with a bit of Tetris you can wash anything else. I use cheap Lidl tabs and it's surprisingly effective.
Watching it in action is very soothing...

License is required to drive in any state. Home owners insurance is required by your mortgage lender. Car insurance is required to drive in most states.

I picked up another DualSense controller to use for my Mac/iOS devices. Multi device is a game changer for me and this will solve needing multiple controllers for Macbook, iPad, AppleTV 1 and Apple TV 2. Unfortunately, I can't add the phone to this one but I hardly use a controller for it.

I'm really curious about mowing robots. Do they have alarms, GPS tracking, are really heavy? What makes it so they just don't walk away when your not home?

i believe the new models have anti theft to them, and also some have 4g cell tracking. My first one had neither, you can just put an air tag on it somewhere. But mine has always been behind a 6 ft tall privacy fence, so nobody could get to it. if they came and took it off my front yard while it was mowing id have them on camera and it wouldnt work without the base station anyway. My heavy one is 30lbs, the new one is 24 lbs. I had one last year was my first year, and it was amazing not having to sweat my ass off in july or august (humid hell here)

edit: also apparently the new one i got if someone picks it up during operation itll set off an alarm and notify my phone

I wasn't originally planning on getting the controller because I don't think it looks that great. But I needed a new one to replace my original white model that's gotten stick drift. Plus, my mom was a huge James Bond fan, both movie and book, and since the game came out 11 years to the day after she passed, I figured it was a sign to just buy the damn thing.

New mouse - Logitech G-Pro X2 Superstrike. This one has haptic clicks rather than microswitches, so you can set the intensity of the click and also the force you have to use before it activates. Kind of like a Macbook trackpad, except the buttons do actually move like normal mouse buttons.

Got it to replace a wired G502 Hero that was annoying me because the very long wire kept getting tangled around the various pedals and things under my desk. It's extremely light, less than half the weight of the G502 (which I put extra weights in) so it's going to take some getting used to.
