Agreed. But wasn't the expansion Bowser's Fury quite good? Never played that but heard good things.

I would like to be wrong, but I don't buy this rumor.

If you look at the announcements Nintendo has made in the last few weeks, they've filled up their first party lineup through mid-April. The Partner Showcase also seemed to focus primarily on games releasing February through April. Meanwhile, the next first party game without a firm date is Yoshi, with a "Spring 2026" window, which could mean late April, but probably means May or June at this point.

If you take all of this together, I think the most likely time for a General Direct is early April, which happens to line up both with the release of the Mario Galaxy movie and when they did their big Switch 2 Direct last year. If they do this, we'll probably also get another Partner Showcase this summer and another general in September, like last year.

Again, i know. He leaks all companies. Which makes me believe even more he works with some advertising company.

Edit: I corrected the original post, to change from Nintendo to Gaming.

Thanks for catching that.
Unless something has changed in the last few years, I doubt that. Nintendo, specifically, does not play ball like that. Neither does Sony. The types of things he's leaked are not indicative of an advertising agency.

That lines up more with the first Switch 1 showcase (that also revealed games, price, and release date) being held 2 months before the console launched, as well as 3 months after it being revealed (October 2016 - January 2017 - March 2017 / January 2025 - April 2025 - June 2025).
I wouldn't expect anything in April going forward.

Playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 now and would give my left nut for a third one. Would be awesome if they capped off the trilogy with a bonafide banger. Would also make sense with the new Galaxy movie coming out.

Maybe you're right. Still though, i think something is different. There were rumors the "ninjas" contacted that SwitchForce for stating a Direct date and what was in it, last September.

How come no one does this to Nate?

I respectfully disagree.

Who knows though, maybe in the coming years with all the anonymity being taken away from the internet. TikTok, Discord, Roblox, etc.

Maybe Nate "The Hate" will have to be actually "Nate Doe" aka John Doe, and use his real name on the podcast. Then people would know.

If by 3D they mean 3D graphics with 2D scrolling the team behind Wonder is ready, I think. The team behind Odyssey*? They just finished Bananza!

(*): the good one, not the one from Nolan.

Remake of Black & White then ?

Not for a while. I doubt Game Freak will be making it anyway. It'll probably be shipped out to ILCA again, who made the awful Gen 4 "remake".

If they're in charge of the Gen 5 remake then prepare for disappointment.

Personally, I think they should make B&W 3, but use the same engine as what they're using fot Gen 10, but with ILCA at the helm that's not going to happen.

B&W they should just use the original engine of the past 2 B&W that way it would be an instant hood classic.

Nah. They tried a "faithful remake" for Gen 4 and it was terrible.

It needs to be a proper remake. The Gen 3 remake did it the right way. It used the same X&Y engine and brought over mega evolutions. It's regarded as one of the best Pokémon games GF have made.

But I liked the Diamond remake

But I liked the Diamond remake

I'm happy you liked it.

Most didn't. They were expecting a Gen 4 remake in the same engine as Gen 8. A proper remake like all remakes that came before it.

Instead we got a bare bones "faithful" remake with some of the ugliest art style seen in a Pokémon game.

There where quite a lot of rumours of a follow up to odyssey coming out for the original Switch, as the first game was out very early in the Switch's lifecycle. And Nintendo did pretty much seem to move development to the Switch 2 quite a while ago... So anything is possible.

I know the fans were expecting something else and see the game as mediocre, but I might argue this is the most polished Pokémon game from a technical perspective on Switch (even Let's Go has some issues), so that's a win for me

Polished because on a technical level they're so basic. It's practically the DS games with a lick of paint, but with a gross art style.

Gen 5 is peak Pokémon, so I hope it gets the remake it deserves.

I'm just going to enter my prayers here, that the next 3D Mario is a sequel to 3D World! (I think it will be considering how successful Wonder has been)

I might take some heat for this... but something inbetween, where the camera moves but is on rails... like bandicoot but less rigidly orthagonal.

I think the odyssey team could blow minds if the camera angle was always known to them, but moving so mario is viewed from all kinds of changing angles.
