Marathon |OT| A Shell of its Former Self.

  • Intensity: Cranked to the top. Cryo Archive is a pinnacle challenge and will take many runs to learn and master.
  • Playstyle: Think raid-style puzzle solving and layered mechanics wrapped around brutal extraction stakes.
  • Design: A labyrinthian layout where tight corridors give way to massive open spaces, pitting enemy crews against each other to unseal frozen Vaults.
Shotgun meta gonna be pain too

This is weekend only content too??? Thats dumb af im sorry for the folks who cant play much on weekends

Exfils on Cryo Archive are less reliable and follow different rules than the planet-side zones. You'll need to learn how exfils work to secure your way off the ship.

This is going to be a 24hr VOG type thing except everyone will run out of gear and have to go back to farming lol

Yeah farming all week just to lose it after a few runs on weekends lol. Honestly just by watching the trailer and reading the blogpost, i feel intimidated already :D

This looks superb.

I have 10 golden guns and 20+ purple guns ready to go. Purple shotguns stocked up with more mips rounds than you can imagine.

Going in blind and not caring about watching others as I want to suffer first hand losing my loot lol.

Also is Ben Starr the voice of Durandal?!

tbh that many queue list wouldnt be good for the game if everything is available at all time. We talking like 10+ different queues. I can see why this is a weekend only event. But launching both ranked and this on the same weekend is weird.
 
I got a feeling you're not meant to be chasing all 7 in one run. Sounds that way considering there are a bunch of contracts to do as well requiring multiple runs

But it sounds like you can only do them in order, the deeper you go the harder it gets so dont think you can start with vault 7 for example

Preparation - I don't need you to schedule when you think I'll be geared enough to take it on. Let me do that.
Economy - It's a game, not the stock exchange. We already have people with gold and purple gear farming white and green gear players in Perimeter. I feel you already broke the economy mate.
Logistics - This is the only part that makes sense from a low player count perspective but again limiting it because you didn't capture the audience isn't fixing the problem of you need more players in your game. Open it up and let the game work itself out. This is only giving more ammo to the sheep out there.

I don't like games with time locked content. It's why I don't play MMO's anymore. Play time is sporadic, let me choose with my friends what we want to do and when. It's like them not having prox chat in the beginning and even now not being able to view and communicate with people you just versed as well as it should be. Stop trying to protect me from the bogeyman. I'm an adult and can make my own decisions, thanks.

Love the game but their decision making hasn't been the best regarding ranked and now cryo, especially if it negatively affects me as the player which it will in these instances.

Had my first friendly interaction. Got downed at a guarded exfil on outpost and an assassin cleared the last few bots out and let me live.

Did not expect that.

Think in a perfect world it would be full time but the player base doesn't support all these modes and maps.

Dropping Ranked and Cryo the same weekend a few days after a duo's queue is retarded though.

Frankly, I think ranked should have been held until after the first run of Cryo
 
Angry Joe reviewed the game, he likes it and gave it a 6/10, with room for improvement.

It's nice to see others who give it a chance. Be warned his video skits are a bit weird in this one :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Seems like I'm going to want a squad communicating for Cryo, have a couple of people already but the more the merrier. Based in Japan, schedule all over the place. Can't use mics when the wife is sleeping but any other time I'll be talking. Even in those situations I'll still be able to *hear* what everyone else is saying👌
