Just commenting on how the narrative shifted when it used to be defense of the Series S hobbling the XSX.Have I missed something?
Handheld?
Oh, absolutely. But that will be another few months into R&D when you'll hear about them killing it.Damn, next gen has arrived! MS killing it.
How do they know it will lead in performance though?
Is it dead or alive?
Its not just Gamepass though, although yes Gsmepass needs hardware right now. What an insane statement
Yeah…. Ok
I'm sure they have zero desire to grow and are content on just spending millions to appease their rapidly shrinking Gamepass fan base lol
Helixfam finally healing. #healingfam
...why would anyone ever buy the Xbox version of a game?
?? The BC feature means not having to buy games you already own in a catalog you've built up over years and years...This is a good point. It's free to play PC games online. PC games have adjustable graphics settings. You can even play PC games on another PC.
It costs money to play Xbox games online. Xbox games don't have adjustable graphics settings. You can't play an Xbox game you purchased on a PC.
...why would anyone ever buy the Xbox version of a game?
Theyll be comparing it to the PS5 Pro?
Also the chips have been leaked to high heaven, its a pretty safe bet the Magnus Chip will be the better performer................................................................................on paper.

Everyone keeps saying its a PC that plays Xbox games, what if it's an Xbox that streams PC games to the console via cloud instead?
The part that I don't get the most. It basically kills XGP/XBL revenue stream for good.Microsoft therefore lose a massive revenue stream.
It'll be useful for the millions of gamers with large Xbox libraries as a transition for the Xbox store from console to PC at the very least.6
I don't really understand this device except a way to wind down the Xbox as a platform.
I don't understand the idea behind only launching a $1000+ system. If you want your console user base to stick around then there needs to be an option in the $500-700 range, even if the performance bump is modest.

Wouldn't that be a huge, HUGE gap between both machines?AMD hinted at multiple SoCs being developed for Microsoft. I absolutely expect them to release a low end version that's roughly on par with the PS6 Portable, but as a small box instead of a handheld.
Xbox and PC games doesn't necessarily mean other stores since Microsoft sells both Xbox and PC games. Still a lot of questions
Don't you have a PC equipped with a 5090?I will buy this, genuinely interested

Well well well
To clarify, what I mean is that I think Sony went with weak specs (esp power consumption) because of the handheld.
Yeah man, but this is cool. Will sell the pc in the lounge and replace it with this, someone said its more powerful than a 9070xt.Don't you have a PC equipped with a 5090?
We have this to go by.To clarify, what I mean is that I think Sony went with weak specs (esp power consumption) because of the handheld.

Safe to assume it will be fully compatible with the entire Xbox library, but we don't know for sure yet. Details next week hopefully.Do we know how they are doing the backward-compatible thing on it yet?
Can't really call it an xbox if it doesn't work with the full catalog or whatever
They did the Xbox logo dirty man
That's already happened. We'll see 18 months of cratering Xbox sales,

So you don't think you'll be able to access steam on this new console?Yeah, this may only mean "everyone get excited for Microsoft Store on console!" Maybe they try to cripple Linux versions of their first party published games. That way they're still on PC without supporting Steam OS, functionally exclusive to Microsoft platforms. IDK, it's a lot to infer from their new leader's tweet alone.
It will run all the storesXbox and PC games doesn't necessarily mean other stores since Microsoft sells both Xbox and PC games. Still a lot of questions
It will almost certainly be the Windows PC store. Which means they wont get many PC gamers buying one.Play pc games purchased through Xbox store only or support for other storefronts too?
That's the big question
Using flops just like they claimed it for XSX. This might not translate to realword performance lead again but I doubt it.How do they know it will lead in performance though?
