Yeah, a lot of Sony's big first-party titles are definitely "console games" (make of that what you will) and sales seem to indicate that mainstream PC audiences have... varying interest in them, depending on the game.Seems like the case for many PC gamers. PC gamers have enough better alternatives to the Sony first party stuff now. Sony will really have to improve their games to stand out as console sellers, IMO.
I do think they would need to speak about a change in strategy to investors beforehand and explain their reasoning for giving up a revenue source. As long as Nixxes is around, I feel like PC porting will still happen. The moment they're shuttered, well, then yeah, I believe it, lol.
I really don't see why they'd pull back when they've clearly made extra money. Which is something they clearly care about more than a lot of other things considering their actions over the years, lol.
Kirk: You don't think that'll come to PC?
Jason. I wouldn't be surprised if it never came to PC
I hope Wolverine specifically never releases on PC.
That will greatly benefit PS5 and PS6!
No need to switch course for games that don't matter.
Just Wolverine.
Kena Steam page just went up as if in reply.
It's just not enough games to be worth investing in hardware for. Last year they released what? Death Stranding 2 and Yotei?Seems like the case for many PC gamers. PC gamers have enough better alternatives to the Sony first party stuff now. Sony will really have to improve their games to stand out as console sellers, IMO.
I think he's more talking about internally developed games, not ones by second/third partyguys kena 2 steam page is up right now and see who is publishing it . if sony really wants exclusivity why would they want to publish kena day 1 on pc?
Because just like Death Stranding 2 it's not their IP. And these deals are made years in advance...this deal was probably made after the success of the first game by Jim Ryan.guys kena 2 steam page is up right now and see who is publishing it . if sony really wants exclusivity why would they want to publish kena day 1 on pc?
I 100% agree with this. The start of Xbox's failure started with Xbox Play Anywhere. The true demise of Xbox was set in stone the day they announced that all their exclusives would go to PC.
Sony would be smart to not replicate the mistake further
You do realize that neither of these games are made by PlayStation Studios, right?death stranding 2 published by sony coming to pc next month and kena 2 also coming to pc this year . i think he is just speculating nothing else .
Free? It's free in the same way that games on game pass and PS+ are "free".It's a dumb strategy to switch course. Games aint getting any cheaper to make and people are not going to switch from PC to PS5. It's literally free money.
Is it dumb? I don't know. I saw a lot of people saying they weren't getting a PS6 because they don't need it now. It's a dumb strategy to switch course. Games aint getting any cheaper to make and people are not going to switch from PC to PS5. It's literally free money.

Things are getting interesting![]()
Well nevermind then.
Me too. That's why I think Wolverine SHOULD never see PC. It has the potential to be a system seller SP adult experience and a prestige piece of software for PS5 and PS6.I think Sony will do it on a game-by-game basis. They have never ever said all of their games will come to PC. Ever. People just keep pushing that narrative. If it takes a multiplatform deal to get the license, so be it. GAAS/Multipalyer that leads to more DLC? Why not? They are not backing away as much as they have never been fully committed.
Ohh, this is good info. Thank you. I wonder why Scherier said this:Bullshit, we know that Insomniac is contractually obligated to release the game on PC
![]()
Edit:Zacfoldor I have some bad news for you. Mind you it's not limited to Wolverine but all X-Men games, same applies to Marvel releases (including the futur Spider-Man 3)
I highly, highly doubt they care about a few thousand users playing their games on a PC handheld that has an Xbox logo on the front.Too late. They already are on ROG Xbox Ally.
Cool, and I agree it will come it on PC, however, because this isnt a product that has been released then the terms of the contact (given sufficient compensation) could be modified if both parties agree.Bullshit, we know that Insomniac is contractually obligated to release the game on PC

lmao! People eating crow in here soon. Lemme see myself out and come back tomorrow.![]()
Well nevermind then.
Their big games keep flopping outside a few exceptions. Must be very embarrassing. PC gamers do not want to climb the yellow mustard lines while a NPC marvel quips in the lesbian protag's ear. If they actually do this I hope it means the return of free agent Nixxes and they don't get a life sentence of porting Horizon GaaS games to PC.
huh, if anything that screengrab implies there is more here than just a hunch![]()
Well nevermind then.

I do think they would need to speak about a change in strategy to investors beforehand and explain their reasoning for giving up a revenue source.
Then why should they care about people playing on a "desktop" PC with an Xbox logo??I highly, highly doubt they care about a few thousand users playing their games on a PC handheld that has an Xbox logo on the front.
Ok well now this is different.![]()
Well nevermind then.
License terms can be changed we know MS changed the terms with Indian Jones. Marvel doesn't care if a game comes to PC, they care if they get paid. Considering Sony has probably over delivered for them I'm sure they are more than happy to adjust the terms for Sony.Bullshit, we know that Insomniac is contractually obligated to release the game on PC

1.Intensifying competition with NS2Is there a lore reason why Sony is being fucking stupid if they decide to move forward with this decision?
For the Brits:![]()
Well nevermind then.

He said on purple forum is not speculation and his bringing an article about that... fuck!
Well, yeah. But the ROI is so big is basically free money. Costs you a port, sells like a AAA new release. Who the hell wouldn't do that given Sony's resources?Free? It's free in the same way that games on game pass and PS+ are "free".
It's cheap in comparison to developing a new game but it's not free as it still requires dev time and resources.
Yeah and it doesn't sound any different from how they've already operated? Is this his opinion or he heard this? Seems like an opinion honestly. I just don't believe it but we will find out soon with Yotei.
You assume that $2.3 Bill more was only possible cause of PC? Maybe that took away 2.3B of the revenue they would have made on PS?![]()
Uhm...yeah. I think I will follow the money and call bullshit on this one.
