I honestly feel like this game will do fine, regardless of how those that don't even care about it and want it to fail, feel. I'd like to see it do better than that, but we won't really know until it's out, there's a roadmap, see how it's received, etc.

I mean, you're not wrong. I was never a fan of either Destiny games, but I knew plenty of people that were. Even with the expansions that weren't well received, they still manage to do well enough to keep making content and continue. So, that says something. I do feel like Marathon will have a much more divisive response, I mean, it already does for a number of reasons.
Yeaaaaah, folks love to complain and whine I guess, lol. Some folks really do feel miserable. I know some will just say they're trolling or just teasing/joking out of fun, but it gets kind of pathetic when it's over and over again, lmao.

They should let you send a certain number of weapons / items to friends stashes when they're offline.
So if you get a Vandal core, and your friend plays Vandal, they can recieve it in their stash next time they jump on.

You can lend them shit you have in your stash in run but anything you bring into a run is automatically sent back to you at the end of the run.
Think the system they have is pretty good tbh, if you find say a gold mod for a core you don't normally run then it incentivises you to come out of your comfort zone.

I'm no extraction shooter fan but the video shown at that Playstation event made this game look cool. I will probably check out the server slam with my boys. I just wish it had more squad sizes than just 3.

It does have that benefit but I find it oddly annoying to equip teammates in ARC Raiders by carrying everything into a match, then dropping it on the ground. I think sending stuff offline would be much more elegant. Pros and cons to each.

It think lending them stuff adds another dimension to the loop. With you being able to revive completely dead team mates give extra incentive to get them out in one piece.

I guess you could keep both dimensions in the game. "Mail items out of raid to keep" and "Lend items in raids to borrow".

Unfortunately that is entirely up to Sony now. On their own or with a different publisher they may have had a chance.

They tried it on their own and that was arguably the worst period in Bungie history.
To answer your question, if this game shits the bed then Sony have a decision on whether they think sinking 500 million into Destiny 3 is worth the risk.

Running Thief should be good fun. If you see an extraction beacon in the distance you should be able to spin up the drone and nab some loot as other teams are extracting.

Bad idea. This would break the game causing an exploit and an economy outside the game of people paying real money to other people in poor countries to farm stuff for them.
Basically what they did since April is to complete the game with stuff they already have planned (like to improve the visuals plus optimizations and bugfixing) and minor tweaks (like to replace the stolen art and change the name of the classes / runner shell types).
The only two 'big' things they implemented and that before April didn't want to implement are the solo queue and the proximity chat.

Not so. You would limit who can receive loot as well as the mount of loot you can send and recieve.
Just about every game concept imaginable can be implemented if thought through.

Amazing video. A few observation... Thief looks fun af, her grapple cd is really low aswell. Also noticed mid match weather change from fog to rain. Didnt know this was a thing and looks like they implemented a voiced emote wheel, similar to arcs for people without mics. Damn they really did their homework huh

Probably mandatory for ranked then if it's a considerable increase. Not sure I like things that are mandatory like having to do trials on the modified maps on Arc for the 2x points.

Man gimme this in 1440p and actual 60fps.
The first 1min30 alone is so atmospheric. Showed that to a friend and while he wasn't into Marathon at first he now replied with "oh yeah it's kind of cheap so might get it".

No i was perfectly fine with Sony acquiring Bungie, i just don't like that they're about to get shut down and absorbed into Sony.
The same as it sucks when Microsoft or Nintendo shut down good studios.

Think they had a mod on that reduced the cool down of grapple on a kill. Took about 10 seconds off.

I think the thing that hooked me the most regarding the game period is how much of it just reminds me of Ghost in the Shell. The aesthetic and look, the music, etc. This is pretty tight.
