Chloe Price was Max Caulfield's partner in time. Losing her is Max's greatest regret. Now Chloe has come to Caledon University. Haunted by nightmares and impossible memories, Chloe needs Max's help.

Nah, Life is Strange was a nice little AA experiment back in 2014, but the overall concept has been run to the ground. I don't see what it can bring to the table nowadays.

I like how they're treating this franchise as if it's some big event or something. The first game was pretty successful because it was something new and then it's been downhill ever since

Yeah they hit gold with the first, the rest just havent hit the notes that first game did.

Exactly, and now they finally realised it and given the state of the company as a whole, it's clear and obvious why they've decided to bring Chloe back. It's like a last ditch attempt of keeping this franchise alive. I hope for them it works but given how bad Double Exposure was, I can't see it happening.

Love LIS1, probably my favorite game in its genre. I've come to believe that game was a fluke, and neither Deck Nine or Dontnod are capable of delivering that kind of experience again. The time travel mechanic was brilliant in the first game and felt like an innovative response to the problem of save-scumming in adventure games, but then they immediately abandoned it for the sequels and the series regressed into typical "choices-matter" schlock. Very disappointing

Legit wonder if this is gonna be something new or if they're gonna pay off the Avengers level conflict they set up at the end of the last game.

Do these games sell well? What keeps them going? The first was decent, but couldn't be bothered after that
The last LiS game, Double Exposure, sold poorly, so I'm surprised they're doing a new entry so soon instead of putting it on the shelf for a few years. That said, there are plenty of LiS fans who'll buy the game day one and happily shell out for merch as well.

According to Yasuda, the financial reports confirm that Life is Strange: Double Exposure's sales were a "large loss" for Square Enix, something that was only made up for by the Dragon Quest 3 remaster. Specific numbers for Life is Strange weren't revealed, but it is clear that it didn't sell all too well.

I enjoyed the last game for what it was, but it was a very "meh" experience overall. Will watch the livestream later - from the description it sounds like Chloe is the main character and this is a direct sequel to Double Exposure.

I chose the ending where you save Chloe and let the storm hit the town, so Chloe was never lost in my game. I wonder if this new one acounts for that.

I thought the first game was entertaining due to the novelty of its gameplay - but I have never been interested in the sequels after it.

"losing" her doesn't have to mean she died, double exposure just says max and chloe grew apart then if that was your choice.

This looked good but they are calling it the final entry for the saga of max and chloe, so it sounds like they won't continue the avengers vs xmen storyline just yet; will probably hinge on this game doing well.
Bringing back rewind is a much bigger thing than bringing back chloe, rewind is entirely what made the first game work so well .

Wouldn't be surprised if the fire started because of the merging of timelines and you have to sacrifice someone again.
