I'm a weird case and don't paint myself as the norm. I don't have a gaming PC nor do I want one. I've always preferred consoles tbh. Regardless, about 6 or 7 months ago I upgraded my PS5 Slim to the Pro, and after being rather disappointed with the Switch 2 presentations, costs, game offerings, etc, I decided to buy a refurbished Steam Deck OLED off Steam.
Since getting the Deck, it's all I play. I haven't touched my Pro since beating Spider-Man 2 a handful of months ago other than to explore some bonus levels they added to Astrobot. I'd say roughly 95% of my gaming in the last 6 months have been on the Steam Deck. I'd honestly sell my Pro if it wasn't for GTA6. Wolverine and Soros might be cool, but lately, I've been enamored with indie darlings like Silksong, Expedition 33, Hades 2, Dave the Diver, Dispatch, No Rest For the Wicked among others. I'm way more interested in the next Steam Deck, or possible Valve designed Steam OS TV Box, than the next Sony or MS console. Also with every Steam seasonal sale fest my game library grows and the more locked in I am to the ecosystem.
