So I’ve been playing WarZone 3 pretty heavily since 3.0 launched. Never really got got into it before. The faster movement really got me hooked I think.

I have some really good plays I want to share with people, especially since everyone on Reddit complains that KBM players are unable to compete with controllers, something I disagree with.

I have a 3090 so I use instant replay to upload full videos to YT but I have no idea how to splice together multiple clips. I want to have a montage basically from multiple different videos, different rounds.

How can I do this?

Fairly certain you can do this on youtube itself, just upload the videos and set them to private so they don't show up except for you, and then use youtube's editor/studio to add videos together.

Cant find mw2 thread, so asking here. I have only mw2 mp installed, but still size is goddamn 293GB on my series x. Is that correct?

if you can't select individual packs on the xbox' own file management, a patch might've fucked your install; the only solution would be to uninstall it completely then and reinstall by just selecting the MWII packs.

I can select and deselect packs but it kind of sounds like it's fucked.

That new SMG has a weird recoil pattern but it’s quite good overall. There is one “broken” muzzle for that is supposed to reduce recoil by 60% .. not sure if it works but that’s what the stats say.

I quite like the new map.

Also, the lockdown quads on Warzone is good fun..

You can absolutely compete, the complaints are from all the ”pro” players since it gets much harder to do so to e higher you go in terms of skill level.. there becomes a point where you simple can’t win a close range fight against aim assist.

For average players.. I think it’s just fine
 
Also, gulag redeploys work in resurgence? I thought it was a bug that they showed up and were redundant.



I pick them up all the time and they disappear in my inventory. I've never had them bring me back like this before.

That JAK BFB? It's legitimate. Reduces recoil a ton, but when you shoot you show up on radar pinged like an advanced uav.

It might be good in warzone if you like hiding in buildings, since it doesn't show what floor you are on. But late game circles could fuck you and your team if you start shooting lol

Yes, but still... I think suppressors is the way to go for warzone in most cases, but I'll try a few games and see how it goes. The gun itself is fun to use overall..

I use it with the sva 545 with one additional recoil control attachment. Recoil feels non existent.

I actually just re-discovered the sva545 since they nerfed the mtz786, and yes... its quite nice for both warzone and MP, I just use the 60 round mag for the big map.
 

The Microsoft effect. I called it when the acquisition was proposed and predicted that the quality of the game would degrade over time. Expect this to continue and I hope people don't come here crying about it later. This issue is multifaceted but the two main pillars are as follows:
  • The effect of LTI's on the work force. Many of the key Activision staff received Stocks as compensation from the company. One could safely assume that long term studio veterans had accumulated a vast amount of LTI stocks over the years. At the time of the completion of the deal, you saw a minimum increase of 50% to your stock. If you joined activision for example in the 2010s, you could see as much as a 400% increase in stock valuations. Personally, that would completely kill my incentive to continue to work. For many, that's enough to retire. I expect all Activision studios to continue to bleed veterans over the course of the next few years. They might retire, might proceed to pursue their own venture, etc. While we would hope that the new generation can begin to fill the void, evidence would suggest otherwise. It seems new gen devs aren't up to the AAA task. Look at Battlefield, Saints Row, etc for examples.
  • Microsoft is really really bad at managing their gaming studios. Notoriously bad. Look at their latest direct for proof. Hellblade 2, a game that's been in development for a while showing very little gameplay. It was later revealed that it would be a smaller game. All that time and this is what they have to show for it? Then you have avowed which looks like a dollarama version of other games that exist on the market with worse animations, combat, etc. Look at the poor performance of Forza Motorsport. The list goes on and on. I do not expect them to do a good job with Activision studios and IPs.

Have gulag redeploy kits ever worked in resurgence for anyone else?
That's the only reason I can think of why I was brought back at final circle after my squad wiped. I thought it was a bug when they started showing up in resurgence because obviously there is no gulag. I've never noticed them working before this happened.

Also, pretty good use case for ultra wide monitors. Pause at 7 seconds. I'm sure I heard him first but don't think I would have seen that guy if I wasn't running 32:9.

I'm all up for cross play in FIFA and fighting and driving games but good lord have an option to not play against pc kbm players
Had 2 lobbies with cheaters today with 35+ kills who were using some sort of wall hacks

I don't think they are doing this to hamper mkb, it seems like they genuinely think that it makes the game better, but it absolutely hampers the gameplay since you do need to see your target, and you have to be precise..

The Q&A they provided gives them an out if they have what they consider a separate process that impacts gameplay.

Interesting wording indeed but I don't know if they will go as far as dynacically altering the gameplay.. it just sounds really tricky to do and it will be rather messy all around.

Do you think they are doing that?

I've heard and seen clips claiming that's what's happening, but I've never felt that personally.

There have been times where one match, I'm dropping people like they're made of paper mache and in the next match, it's like they're made of adamantium. Could it be connectivity differences? I fell out of "the zone" and suddenly suck? Per-player settings fuckery?

I don't know for sure, and with the absence of a definitive answer, I'm not able to rule out the fuckery.

It really doesn't seem that tricky to execute, imo. They're already calculating damage rates--just add a per-player "times X" modifier to those rates based on player data they already have. Same for aim assist strength, hit registration, etc.

When this happens to me I tend to watch the killcams and it just looks like latency; they clearly shoot me 5 times, but on my screen it was maybe only twice.

Right so why not segregate players based on skill level and put them in separate lobbies, for example skill levels go from 1-10 so then keep all players in the 1-3 range in the same lobby and don’t add in players with skill level above that.

Maybe they don’t have enough players to do that?

It will not collapse, it’ll just gradually degrade. As more of Microsoft’s corporate policies deep into Activision, we’ll see a gradual degradation in the product. We’ve already seen the board changes they’ve made. They’ve put people in powers of authority who don’t have a proven record of success in the gaming sphere. I believe we’ll start to see their impact on the product quickly as they begin to push their agendas.

A lot of people will argue that CoD has been degrading for over a decade, so, I guess you are saying that it will degrade even faster now since Phil Spencer is involved?

So how long until it's degraded to oblivion do you reckon?

I don’t have an answer to that as it’s really a matter of competition. People buy COD like they buy Madden and Madden has been degrading for a decade. Once a viable competitor appears, then I’ll have an exact answer for you. As its stands, there is no viable competitor to COD in the military arcade fps genre that delivers a mostly compelling product. The game will just continually degrade but, people will just continue to buy it and complain.
