Only thing I can think of is that while sure, cod will be on ps5, but it'll be apart of gamepass for a couple of bucks a month day one. Try to entice players that way?

His emails read very differently to what he says.
In this case though, his hands are tied. The 10 year deals they dished out for COD were part of the concessions for both the UK and EU and will be monitored going forwards.
My view is that they needed this deal for the revenue prop up it will provide them with while gamepass continues to burn cash in the background. If they treat Activision and King (I'm excluding Blizzard for a reason, they are already dead) with the same degree of negligence that they have shown so far with Bethesda then RIP.

Pay attention he has been pointing out that selling consoles actually cost them money for the last year or so they don't really want us to buy Xbox Series S/X & having games like Candy Crush , Minecraft & Call of Duty means they never have to sell another Xbox as long as people stay addicted to these games.

It should be on PS+ if they want parity. Also why people blame Sony for these marketing deals? We all knew ABK went to both and xbox rejected or PS had the better arguments why they have these deals for a long time right now.
Didn’t Bobby said they if the acquisition wouldn’t go through, he wanted to offer Jim a new CoD deals. Imo CoD only for Xbox and PC will never be smart move in the future. CoD won’t survive on xbox only.
Putting CoD on GP and not on PS+ is almost doing the same as exclusive content.

I can't believe there won't be some kind of incentive to get people onto game pass. Something like beta early access for game pass, or maybe have a beta for all platforms but game pass allows you to play the beta for longer.

On this licence it makes sense. COD is the main license they acquired through this deal and the platform on which it is the LESS popular is the Xbox. Cutting the access, in anyway, on the PS4/5, PC, would be suicidal, even if let's say 50% of those PS/5/PC players get an Xbox to keep playing COD (which is an insane exemple, in reality they'd be less than 10%), they'd be losing so much money. COD's MTX represent a LOT of money, can't lose this PS4/5/PC owners money.

I can't see it on the switch, well if it is it will be cod mobile or a cloud version. A switch native version would be compromised in so many ways it would be a laughing stock.
Switch 2 however it will be on for sure and I look forward to that.
