It’s what happens when you listen to the very vocal extreme minority. You lose your way and end up making a game not for your audience, but rather for the people who actually hated your game or product. Several brands have now figured that out. Don’t give into hatred, violence or threats from these vocal people. That doesn’t mean be evil and bigots or racist either mind you, it just means remember who your audience is and making things for them, not the people who hate them/you.

SR 2 and SR 3 were it's best entries. SR 4 was fun but too easy.

It's sad that GTA fans constantly want to shit on it because it's not as 'good' at being a GTA game, when it stopped trying to be a 1:1 GTA since SR 2.

Saints Row - failure

They were given huge budget (around 100 milion USD afaik) and plenty of time incl. delays. They still produced complete unabashed failure. Of course Lars Wingefors does not want to throw more good money after bad.

I'm gonna miss SR games, only played 3,4, GooH, and a tiny bit of AoM but just the sheer craziness and insane stuff in 3 and 4 were always a great way to kind of disconnect from the barrage of same old same old trend chasing we go through with larger games.

I wished they had continued on as an RPG developer. The Summoner games were not perfect but quite good in my opinion. The jump to GTA style games is kind of baffling, but I guess it worked for them for a while.
