Imo, it’s like Sony is trying to hurt the PS5’s success. I have my doubts that the PS5 will reach the numbers of the previous PlayStation consoles especially with decisions like this, but we’ll see.

Smart move. PS5 can’t stay on the shelves and inflation has been brutal. Let Sony get that money rather than scalpers. Given inflation, PS5 doesn’t really cost more right now than it did at launch.

This is stupid. Inflation, sure, it makes sense on paper, but don't do it.

It's early in the gen, you need as many consoles out there as possible to increase your player base.

What happened to Sony loosing money with each PS3 during that era? Do the same thing here. And PS3 was WAY more expensive than the PS5 today, even more considering inflation.

Wouldn't their fanboys have a PS5 already at this point? Ain't nobody making purchase decisions of a 10% difference in price, ain't nobody legitimately outraged over this.

I'm way more bothered buy how much PS+ Premium sucks than I'm over PS5 getting a slightly more expensive. Going for Deluxe/Premium over Extra really feels like getting suckered into a bad deal.

Its why I cancelled mine and will opt back into GP for another three years. Sony has no value play, which I hate since PS has been my main since PS1. Oh well.
