Best hidden gem of 2022 so far?

Whats a game that you've played that doesn't have much or any attention but is superb that came out 2022 or late 2021. I don't have one to offer, but I'd love to hear what your favorites of the year are so far?

Triangle Strategy, no doubt.

Citizen Sleeper is going to be skipped by 99.99% of people but it's really pretty great. A very well made time management / choice / visual novel sci-fi game. I haven't been able to put it down.

I've had my eye on ANNO: Mutationem, but waiting for a sale. Can't say if it's good or not but it looks cool.

Total War: Warhammer III. I prefered the first two games, but this one is still a great game, that more people should play.

For me, its gotta be Rogue Legacy 2. Game seems to be doing well, but in my opinion it isnt getting nearly the hype it deserves.
It's funny that you say that. I started the game Saturday, have played a few hours since then, but I doubt that I will continue.

Rogue Legacy is one of my favorite rogue-lite ever, but this sequel is too hard for me.

Severely overlooked. It's Castlevania 2 except done right. Fantastic game.

Good replay value too. Good route, evil route and several special characters to play as by naming your save something specific.

I think most of the games mentioned have had suitable coverage and are part of a service with 20+ million subscribers, so I’m surprised they are being referred to as hidden gems.

Doesn't come out until tomorrow, but I'm sure that Salt and Sacrifice will be mostly overlooked. Previous game was really good.

This just came out, but like no one is talking about it and I just don't understand why. Like when X-COM and its sequel came out people just would not shut the fuck up about it, and for good reason.

However this dropped and while being an amazing tactical RPG with a fantastic story, even by grimdark 40k standards, but no one is talking about it...

I read a few reviews which all are positive, however they call out that it feels "cheap" largely due to the limited voice acting... how the fuck does the Fire Emblem series get a pass for this exact issue while also feeling like a much cheaper game in every other way too?

So far the best pleasant surprise from 2022 for me. Alot better than expected especially the unique twist on the Xcom formula.

Horizon Forbidden West. If Elden Ring didn't exist this would be game of the year material, but as it stands even die-hard fans of the first game are complaining about this entry as bland. Some even go as far as to shit on this and try to diminish the game by claiming if it wasn't a Sony exclusive nobody would even care about it at all.

If you want to see a game get overlooked, wait until the 2022 award season and keep your eye(s) peeled for Horizon FW.

For what it's worth, I enjoyed HFW more than ER as a whole, but there is no way in fuck that the top Sony exclusive is hidden. Also it is a gem that needed more polishing. It was buggy at launch and still buggy after the first 2 or 3 patches.
