After the critical and commercial success of Elden Ring, the first open world game, surely more games will follow.

The question is - should Mark Cerny give us a Knack 3 with no limits? Free range, non linear, open world Knack?

You think I'm joking about those dick pics if Knack 3 is real? If it's open world you're getting a full spread, too. I've had it with you trying to will this game into existence. You're fucking with the timeline!

Because elden ring was groundbreaking by being barebones! Less is more, keep it simple and so on… game of the century 20/10

I think it’s a joke about another thread about naughty dog being open world … I dunno
Elden Ring is barebones now? That's a new one. Elden Ring haters are annoying AF.

Ima agree with Zeroing on this one man, Elden Ring Police are annoying AF.

I own the whole souls, its one of my favorite concepts, but....its barebones sir. Elden Ring is basically Souls in a open world and the puzzles are bare as fuck, move a few places and....poof something pops up lol I think its a great game and happy you love it, but fucking come on with this shit, this a barebones open world and doesn't come close to what you get from a Assassins Creed Light RPG or something.

I kid you not, mounted combat literally sounds like its the biggest feature of the open world. I like how simple the Souls titles are myself, but its why I have to agree with a barebones concept here as many have yet to provide some groundbreaking concept going on outside of "we lovez it" lol

As there seems to be a real chance of a Knack 3, no I do not want it to be open world. I am internally screaming at gamers who still demand every game to be open world. Unless this was part of the joke kyliethicc kyliethicc xD

What I want is, well knack 2 already felt like a kid friendly version of ps2 era god of war, so why not just go crazy with the scale and bosses like we've seen from that series? Just keep it to smaller arenas, but make it feel like an evolution of that formula with the craziest scale ever seen. Think about it, the last god of war like that we had was ascension... I can imagine some insanely cool set pieces in Knack 3 like having to scale planet sized gundams and ripping their heads off lol.

Come on, you know that sounds incredible :D

It should be open world with time travel. Most complex game ever, but Ubisoft needs to partner with Sony to help populate the map and the millions of years of samey bullshit you can do in it.

I think its time for Knack to mature and head into political simulation, then 4x4 space tactics games.

I hate knack so much that if there is no knack 3 I promise to become the world's biggest Sony Fanboy. Full disclosure I haven't owned a Sony console since the PlayStation 2.

Any resources into Knack 3 should be instead put into Jak N Daxter or Sly Racoon.

Knack 3 can happen after that with an open world

I preferred the open world of the first Jak and Daxter. I'd love a return to that type of platformer. I'd take almost any mascot to do that. With the fast loading you could easily make a new gen looking version with ease.

Also people need to stop shitting on Knack. The first game is fairly tough (old school) but the second game is actually very good. Play the fucking second one and tell me it's shit.

Can we organise a IRL GAF meetup and the open world people politely argue with the non-open world people over a beer, then it gets heats and everyone gets emotional, more beer and it gets violent, then more beer and we get emotional and make up with each other, finally more more beer and we all fuck.

I'm saying can we do it but really I'm saying we need to do it.

No, not every game needs open world

Also, not sure where this joke of Knack 2 being a 'bad game' comes from. It's a decent platformer and kids especially seem to love Knack. Must be coming from people that never played it but decided to jump on the meme bandwagon
