I put this in the multiplayer thread but think it needs its own thread.
Over $1k to buy everything.
I’m happy with the F2P direction of the game, however 343 need to get some backlash over this.
IMO classic armour sets like Gungnir should be battle pass level 100 awards. They should only be putting new and crazy skins on the store like the ones added to the MCC recently.
whatever keeps you warm at night kid. You are the only that is been talking nonsense console talk.Man, so many strawman arguments from a bitter little console warrior.
Didn't buy horse armor, didn't support it. I supported DLC that offered a wide variety and large amount of content, such as Shivering Isles. Meanwhile you are here, actively defending these MTX.
I have stated what is missing from Halo Infinite numerous times, something you should easily be able to find throughout my post history as you are keen to look through it and attempt "gotcha" moments. Despite the fact you clearly can't read. Not sure if this is due to you not being a native english speaker, so I won't mock you on that.
I also literally stated I am talking about *Console Warriors*, which you are. Not console players. Why would I attack something that I, myself, am? That doesn't make a lick of sense.
Unlike you, I actually care about Halo. I have loved the series ever since I was a child and playing Slayer with my brother and cousin on his Xbox. Saved money for a few years purposefully to buy my own Xbox so I can continue playing. We used to be able to spend 60 dollars to get a great campaign, strong multiplayer, and some basic customization, until Halo 3 and onwards added modes like Forge, unique armor unlocks, horde mode, and *more*. Meanwhile, here we get less maps than ever before. We can't choose the game modes we want. Our progression is locked to real money payments and offer *less* than even Halo 1 offered. We have no forge, we have no fireteam. For 60 dollars all we get is a campaign and a promise that more stuff, such as the aforementioned Forge is "coming soon". This wasn't acceptable back in Halo 5 and it isn't acceptable today.
And in your next post, you actively compared this system to a damn mobile game. You are actively proving my point and you can't even comprehend that. That is how sad you console warriors are.
well, they do sell you boosters to level up faster. These are purely cosmetic I presume?
I don’t really see any problem if that’s the case.
Halo 5: buy the game, play to get loot boxes, random chance to get the stuff you want or keep buying lootboxesin Halo 5 you didn't need to pay 5 bucks for the color white, in Halo 5 you got basically free loot boxes after every match or two.
Halo 5 also launched with dozens of different armor sets.
not comparable at all
You really havent played any real mobile game yet. These things here is much more gracious than whatever the fuck mobile games I used to test it out. They shoud be fine. I've played mobile games with more respect than this system
Halo 5: buy the game, play to get loot boxes, random chance to get the stuff you want or keep buying lootboxes
Halo Infinite: game is free, buy the set you want if you want it and move on.
I agree H5 had more content at launch but I fail to see how the new system is worse overall. H5 would usually give you one card pack per day + one per level up if I recall.
They want to attract Fortnite/CoD players back. It's bad luck for Microsoft because the Halo target audience is kinda old so they mostly don't want to deal with F2P shenanigans.

All the crybabies in this thread:
Disclaimer: making your spartan rainbow coloured with a purple helmet won't make you any better at the game, to do that you actually need to play it.
Halo Infinite is not free, it's a full price game that has no multiplayer and launches without coop.
that is IMO a way more reasonable way to look at things.
in the past a full priced Halo title had a multiplayer with at least 10 maps, since H3 they came with dozens of unlockable cosmetics (hundreds starting with reach) and you could unlock all of them for free. Halo 5 showers you with free lootboxes.
so the situation now is that we still have a full price Halo title that misses all of that, and we have a free Halo title that has one of the worst free 2 play models out there while not even having half the content that older Halo multiplayer modes launched with day 1
GetYou speak the truth, but the console warriors love to keep pushing this strawman argument of "they just want free shit" when in reality, we just want the same level of content, variety, and customization that has been afforded to us in every previous halo release. Hell, we don't even have the ability to freely change basic colours without spending hundreds of hours playing a tiny number of maps or spending hundreds of dollars.
They never once mentioned anything like that. I don't even remember anyone else even thinking thatWait a second. I have a Halo Series X. You're telling me I need to pay extra for skins, etc? I thought that came as part of the deal with my console. Oh well I guess.
If you think I am a console warrior for either side you are sadly mistakenRight on queue. It would be hilarious how obvious and easy to guess y'all are if it wasn't so sad.
I am not saying the move is to appeal to console warriors. I am saying that console warriors are the one ones defending these moves. Look at the Waypoint forums. Reddit, Twitter, etc. People are outwardly decrying the lack of content, greedy/predatory practices, and blatant design flaws. They praise what the game does right and still criticize what it gets wrong.
Then you see the folks like the ones above. Trying ever so desperately to defend these moves and dismiss all criticsm, all of whom are massive console warriors on the "Xbox side". As I stated before, it would be hilarious how obvious and easy to guess what they do next if it wasn't so sad.
Seriously. I thought it was just me. I don't understand. I guess the guns are just that different.- some people die instantly and some are bullet sponges
- Halo Infinite MP is free to play, no matter how you twist and turn it. Having to buy the SP to play SP is irrelevant;Halo Infinite is not free, it's a full price game that has no multiplayer and launches without coop.

Imagine making hyperbole such as "spending hundreds of dollars to change basic colours" and calling others console warriors, how full of it you'd have to be.You speak the truth, but the console warriors love to keep pushing this strawman argument of "they just want free shit" when in reality, we just want the same level of content, variety, and customization that has been afforded to us in every previous halo release. So halo having incredible gameplay that Im has been universally liked, and is stable 3 weeks before it was supposed to launch, is bad because you don’t like the dress up ?Honestly?
If it means getting horrible battle pass progression and a shitload of microtransactions... this multiplayer should've been included in the campaign.
Not one of the three big multiplayers did something right in the end.
The downside of GamePass
Not sure if that poster was serious or not..Explain what GamePass has to do with a F2P game?

Yep you’re right. My mistake. They never once mentioned anything like that. I don't even remember anyone else even thinking that
Do i have to spell it? If a AAA game is free they have to make the money somewhere..so seasons cosmetics etc will be present.Explain what GamePass has to do with a F2P game?

Also development time energy money and ideas are lost in trying to find ways to monetize the game and design 1000 useless skins.

You ask for too many explanations. I am not google. Watch Jim Sterling, yong yea, skill up, easy allies and you ll learn the downsides of f2p and monetizations. A legendary game like Halo shouldnt have taken this pathThe game is F2P everywhere. It's free on Steam. There's no GP on Steam. So explain what GamePass has to do with the Steam version.

Free. Not on GP. Fixed itSeems to be doing better than this year's Battlefield or Call of Duty, so I guess they made the right decision.
And I don't need to listen to attention whore YouTubers shilling outrage for money. I actually play games to form an opinion on them.
You still haven't explained what GamePass has to do with a F2P game that doesn't require GamePass to access.
You can still get achievements, and there’s literally nothing to indicate that we won’t be getting armor from the classic things like beating the campaign in different difficulties. If you dont like getting items yeah, then it's probably one of the best games of the year and the best between Vanguard and 2042.
If you are a Halo fan that likes to unlock armor and run for achievements? Then it sucks Brute Balls.
Then be happy that other people fund the game for you.Doesn't matter if the season pass doesn't expire when its absolute trash
Dont even need to go that far: fortnite exists on consoles. If these guys go to mobile games, they will have a heart attack.
