All done within 5 or so years, and there's no doubt they're going to have more in between i.e VR games.
And the other studios struggle putting out one game in that timeframe. I'd be embarressed if I were them

So was KOTOR remake. Games are kept secret all the time.
Sony - Marvel film deal was signed in the 90s and amended multiple times. The games deal was signed at a different time between two different subsidiaries under different terms. Furthermore JSteveson has confirmed on resetera that the deal has nothing to do with the film deal.

Agreed. Naughty Dog didn't release a single good game in a long while for me.
Insomniac though? Even their mediocre games (Rift Apart) are still entertaining. Super hyped for Wolverine and Spidey 2, just wish they didn't cheap out with shitty CGI trailers and instead showed gameplay.

I think game structure wise a straight linear game or like the original arkham aslyum would be a good fit.
Obviously core combat should be straight melee super brutal and know sodding stealth! Seriously that's so overdone at this point and he's frigging Wolverine he doesn't need to stealth.
Also I would like section where you get to play as Mary J.

I wonder if the Hulk could appear? That would be an awesome mission. Also having some X-Men appear as well. X-23 would be a cool supporting role like Miles in Spider-Man. Also Daken, and even the Hand could come into play. Deadpool should definitely be there somewhere.
If we get a WW2 segment, let's have Steve Rogers there leading the way, Insomniac. I would be okay with even just a mention of Logan knowing Captain America in-game.

Honestly I thought uncharted 4 and last of us 2 were OK. However ok is a serious step down from there ps3 output.
God of war, horizon and spiderman were WAY better. Not to mention other non first party exclusives like bloodborne, death stranding and final fantasy VII.
I don't know what's going on there I really think crunch culture is bad for there long term productivity but other than that I don't know

Cool sounds good! I guess the big thing is to have hit box combat.
Arkham combat only ever worked well in groups then fell apart in one on one battles.

Not if they kill these iconic main male characters in the intro and replace them with woke tokenism characters. But well, in any case the people in charge of licensing and overview the usage of IPs wouldn't allow to be that unrespectful with their brand and fanbase if they have a mininum of common sense.
I think that very soon in that TLOU day they will announce TLO2 PS5, TLOU remaster, the Factions 2 game and their PS5 bundle for all 3: TLOU Director's Cut. This, plus the Uncharted 4 remasters and last year the TLOU2 game (which excluding the woke bullshit was a great game and performed amazingly well) is a good track record for a few years.Not worried about Naughty Dog. They have always delivered excellence. That isn't changing. Not sure why Naughty Dog is somehow diminished simply because Insomniac is doing great. This might shock some, but Sony has some pretty awesome studios.
After all this, I assume they'll leave Nixxes to 'remaster' the Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection for PS5 and PC while they release some post launch stuff for the Factions 2 game, maybe finish that Uncharted spinoff if they didn't can it and will set-up two big game tracks to develop a new IP and TLOU3 at the same time.

Insomniac never really managed to craft their own IPs. All of them were relatively uninteresting flops outside of Ratchet. And even that series is a bit of a reflection of a previous era.
They always made great games efficiently though. Marvel + Insomniac is a match made in heaven honestly. Absolute gold on everything. I'm really stoked that Brian Horton gets this franchise to work with. Miles Morales was a great standalone game and he seems to really understand how to craft an endearing narrative.

Honestly, Insomniac of today reminds me a bit of Naughty Dog during the peak days of Uncharted/TLOU1. Pumping out games left and right that were extremely high quality and managing to surprise us with new titles.
Naughty Dog now is a shell of their former self. No new IP. No two-team dynamic. No project to transition to so they are forced to work on an MP game and a remake. Really disappointing how the tables have turned. Insomniac is Sony's best studio by far and every studio should emulate how they do business because it's magical.

Finally more people are starting to see....
The story in TLOU2 was full of holes. Sloppy writing, decent gameplay but nothing groundbreaking. More of a political statement than something aimed at being a great experience.

Wouldn't it be sweet if these both were tied together in the same universe. Peter and miles doing their own thing in NYC, meanwhile Logan doing his thing somewhere else, maybe Canada?

I hope the combat system is somewhat grounded. No special moves where you stick your arms out and start spinning like a tornado, around the room.
None of the exaggerated stuff like that. I know it can make for fun gameplay, but I’d like to see something a bit more “controlled” or realistic.
I wouldn’t even mind some stealth elements, if the enemies are lethal enough. There’s quite a bit of room to play with Logan’s healing factor, so he doesn’t need to be invincible.
