No offense but stuff like gt7, horizon and gow sequel are severe order of magnitude more important than any returnal, demons remake or ratchet game so for now we can officially say that the biggest games from sony are ALL crossgen, you can be good about it, but some of us bought the ps5 to have fully nextgen experiences.

You will buy the cross-gen games on the PS5, and people who haven't upgraded will buy copies on the PS4. Given that making the game PS5-only will not increase revenue more than selling copies to the still thriving PS4 userbase, this isn't a really difficult business decision to make. Sony knows that all the caterwauling is just empty rhetoric. Your complaints would have actual teeth if you acted on it by refusing to buy the games.

Voting with your wallet only works if the majority thinks the same as you. I don't think most people care about cross-gen, and a billion dollar corporation is always going to chase the money.

For all the posts I see about how hard it is to get one, I was able to get 2. And if I wanted to I could get both a XSX and PS5 on a regular basis.

Thats about as big of a gap that happened when last gen started...and it just snowballed from there.

I don't give a fuck about their reasons, i'm the final client not a shareholder.

And i'm gonna buy both gow and horizon sequel because i want a nextgen only sequel and i don't want an ending like days gone for both saga.

I think game studios can have a good idea of the type of technology they will need to utilize for the type of game they are trying to make. They don't work on games in isolation so if they know the game they are making can work on the PS4, why should they not release it?

Because we don't believe it was the dev's choice. We believe Sony pushed them into that choice.

Yeah I have secured more then one as well but I also have a lot of free time and usually a heads up when they are about to hit

They deserve props for this. The worldwide demand across the board has really affected everyone and to still be able to deliver that many consoles into the publics hands is a serious achievement.
Sony are set up for an incredible generation, with a really strong foundation.

The PS5 is sold out worldwide, as is (probably) the Series X, but the Series S is not. It's rather easy to find in Europe at least. Here in Sweden it's in stock at basically every retailer.

Yep after March it was freely available until the destiny launch in September 2014 I think and then a bit supply constrained holiday 2014. Nothing compared to now.

I considered that but I highly doubt the studios behind those games wouldn't have final say or leverage to convince Sony. Also, Sony likely would have communicated cross gen status earlier but we're just speculating anyway. Personally, I lean more on the side that it was a decision made by the game studios behind the two games. Housemarque & Insomniac Games were able to release next gen only titles so why wouldn't Santa Monica and Guerrilla Games have the same choice?

Now that you think about with 6.5 vs 10, Xbox stays strong actually considering that parts of its production was dedicated to Azure blades, it comes from not successful Xbox One generation and it doesn't have exclusive games for now and effects of Bethesda acquisition still not felt.

Maybe to get signed off on the budgets they were requesting, Sony said cross-gen or no! I know......that sounds crazy, but why would Kaz actually WANT to make GT7 for PS4? Like we all know Kaz LOVES pushing new hardware with every new PS gen.
