Their Twitter was started in 2015. That Photo was taken the same time. Too much of a coincidence. If Abandoned really is a what ever game, it's weird for Sony to make deal about it. Unless it was going to be a VR game which is what is rumored to be shown this year.
Sony isn't making a deal about it. They post blog and video shit ALL THE TIME on their website and YouTube channel. From no name indies to big releases. Anyone can apply for it. It's not an exclusive in the sense of a Sony partnered exclusive like Returnal. It's just the indie using that as a marketing tactic.

isn't it weird that their site didn't work for a while, and parts of it still dont work? Usually you would have a company page up months to a year before your announcement. You can have a website up about your studio and talk about a TBA title for next gen and PC.
But the timing is way off on this. They have had a twitter since 2015. Kojima got with Keighly in 2015 started talks with Sony a little later. If I'm wrong Im wrong, but it just smells like it's a troll or some kind of tease for a larger game.

Lots of high frequency detail, looks kinda fugly tbh. Framerate seems a bit wonky too, like they're trying to emulate that stuttery look of old, atmospheric horror games that ran out of sync with everything.

Yeah I almost feel bad if there isn't anything special going on behind the scenes because the graphics in that trailer look like shit. If it's not a ruse, then it's shovelware.
Remember the last Kojima tease was still very high quality assets, images, trailers, etc. He doesn't do low quality bait and switches does he?

Edit: I have no idea what this is game is or whose really making it but Jeff grub isn’t the be all end all of the happenings of gaming. This game seems pretty secretive so for all we know anyone could be working on it, no one has to tell grub anything.

The thing Grubb doesn't understand that I know is Kojima productions has multiple projects. So if Kojima had a early concept for a game that he proposed to Sony/Xbox doesn't mean he also isn't working on another project or has been for some time for Sony. I think there is a chance he does have some kind of project in the works over at MS.
But to say Sony wont have him work on a project for them as well really shows Grubb doesn't know wtf he's talking about when it comes to the industry. He just hears things from people in the know.
When death stranding was in Production I do know KojiPro had other things they were working on. And similar to Platinum's position doing contract work, thats kind of where Koji is at. They have a unique relationship now, meaning they could work on different games for different platforms at the same time. Thats the beauty of being Indipendent.

Blue Box is apparently based in Holland. And they've been around for a few years. Never heard of them before to be honest, but apparently they released a game called The Haunting last year. So they might be legit indies, but its weird that they sort of get a push like this.

Also, Sony is clearly going for big-budget blockbusters. Why would they make a deal with a no-name indie developer with absolutely no track record for a PS5 exclusive game. Apparently, they are releasing this game in Fall 2021, which is a time for massacre for unknown indie games.

And that seems like a AAA game. Jade has worked on AAA games before. The other staff members also have years of experience making AAA games.
On the other hand, this is an indie developer that has never released and/or worked on a AAA game (AFAIK, but I could be wrong).

Also, why would a third-party indie studio have "PlayStation Family" mentioned on this image? Doesn't make any sense to me, unless I'm missing something obvious.

Personally, I don't think this is a Kojima project. But to me, it just feels like something is off with this game, marketing, and announcement. Perhaps, this is a secret project from PlayStation's own first-party studio? Who knows.
I honestly have no theories. It just feels off and weird.
