Mario Odyssey is the same tho, why does it get 90's? every boss is a three hit kill and are less creative than Crash 4 which got a lower score.

I'll be spending 12-15 hours in just the Arena mode. I hope there are daily challenges and online leaderboards too.

About 16-17 hours once you do a bit of collecting side stuff here and there. Prob about 13-14 if you blitz through. Challenge mode has new versions of every single weapon though, with new skills to unlock for each, so plenty of incentive for a second playthrough.

Photo mode should add more time too!

It’s the best looking game I’ve ever laid eyes on apart from Demon’s Remastered, oddest thing in the world to go after this games’ graphics.

I mean Returnal was a 20 hour game….. I hope this game is close to 16 hours than 12 hours tbh. It’s pretty steep for a $70 game.

Personally, I think mainline Mario games are substantially better.

I can only speak to my last experience playing the last two entries. I bought Mario Odyssey day 1 and couldn't put it down until I was finished, and had a big smile on my face almost the whole time. I got the last Ratchet game for free and felt mostly bored, and didn't finish it.

So yeah, I personally would also not be surprised to see it getting 8s and 9s. Considering how much of a graphical showpiece the game appears to be, I'm guessing the gameplay is largely the same - otherwise it would be getting higher scores.

And like I said, 8s and 9s are good scores. Playstation exclusives have gotten 10s tons of times. You guys sound like conspiratorial nutjobs if you think Sony games can't review well.

Every review I've seen basically says it doesn't innovate much in the gameplay department, but everything adds up greater than the sum of its parts and the pacing is good, making it fun throughout. Visuals and presentation definitely carrying the game, as I think most expected them to.

And I agree, it is the best looking game out there, but you gotta be next level stupid to think this looks as good as Incredibles 2.

20h game? Took me 38h to get to act 3, and I don’t consider myself a bad player.

It might be a 20h for some, but definitely not the majority

Edit: Might impact that I do a lot of collecting and don’t rush through the main story

Let what out? Are you stupid? I stated multiple time that it's the best looking game I've seen, but I'm not gonna pretend it looks like something next gen consoles aren't capable of. Damn, so much denial.

Can't help but every time I see Rivet she remind me MGSV. Kojima influences everyday and everywhere.

Game sound super promising as expected, and one of the rarest full next gen game out there.

I wasn’t criticising the game, at all. It looks like a fantastic, animated Pixar movie. Simply that R&C is one of those really fun games you play for 20 hours and then move on from.
