What's the deal with domains? When do you recommend I should start doing them? Also, what about those Elemental Trials, which also happen in the same locations as those domains?
Edit: Also, the game is just so relaxing that I can spend forever playing it. The music is very good. Liyue really is a different vibe and I'm having a great time!

Domains are your main farming spots. Use your resin there. I suggest start farming for talent books and weapon materials, you can farm artifacts later when you're high rank enough to get the 5 star ones.
You can also craft "condensed resin", which basically let you get twice the rewards from the domains.

Elemental trials are tutorials meant to introduce the different types of elemental reactions to beginners. You can complete them to get a small amount of primogems.

What AR are you currently?
Depends on the type domain. Basically you have domains that give you weapon ascension materials, character talent materials, and artifacts.
I would start with weapon or talent domains at lower AR levels, these will be more useful and less frustrating to farm.
I wouldn't worry about the artifact domains until much later. You'll get certain artifacts sets from the doing the regular bosses (Regisvines, hypostatis cubes, etc), which you'll be using resin on anyway to get character ascension materials.

Thanks guys. I'm currently AR 20 with Traveller at level 26, Lisa at level 25, Amber at level 20 and Barb at level 19. So still have a ways to go, but I'll start doing some of those tutorial stuff. Got a bit more of a handle on the combat now. I used my first 1600 Primos to wish 10x on the Eula banner, and only got one 4 star weapon. Oh well.
Keen to get Xiangling soon as I really need a better Pyro user than Amber.

I would think about saving your primos and putting them toward the upcoming Klee banner. As you've probably noticed, this game favors pyro, so pulling a good pyro DPS like Klee will make your life a lot easier.
As you enter the mid-parts of this game, you'll encounter a lot of timed challenges, especially in the Abyss if you're looking to get Xiangling. This when having a good DPS character is crucial since, although you may have good survivability with FTP characters like Noelle or Barbara already on your team, it won't matter if you can't clear the challenges in time. I had this problem early on, as I had pulled a bunch of good support characters, but was struggling to put down damage quickly. Fortunately, I pulled Klee on her first banner back in October and that made things much less frustrating.

You're right. DPS is starting to become annoying in some random world events. I do enjoy optimising the party for these fights though. For example, I loved that hilichurl camp timed battle for unlocking a seal. Good fun! But yeah, I'll save future wishes for Klee banner as you recommend. Thanks.

If you want to spoil yourself, just click on the character's name, and you can expand the dialogue trees to see what they'll say. I think I'm just going to wait for it to release personally. There's so little content, why ruin this ahead of time.

And this is where different people are going to have different options, because I'd recommend waiting for a new DPS character and not a rerun. Klee's value has already been harmed by power creep, and there are way stronger characters than her. She's also clunky, and requires animation cancels in order to reach her DPS potential. On a personal note, I just really dislike her gameplay, her range, and her English voice actress. Despite the title, this video does a good job explaining some of her pros and cons.
My real advice would be to save for a banner with some of the better four star characters that interest you, seeing as those will be much easier to get than your first five star.

- Hu Tao for example has a way more demanding/annoying/complicated battle style than Klee. Also dat 4☆ feel.
- Xiao is ugh... 1 button to rule em all and annoying jumping around shit. Plus. He's Anemo. Nuff said.
- EULA? Phys DMG. Girl need combos and hits enemies with a big sword. Wow. Why I can't hold all that "value"...
- Cocogoat? Nothing really beats Cocogoat as an all-in-one solution both in the open world or in the domains, but she's a cryo and Ayaka is just around the corner and she's also a cryo.

But yea, Klee is really strong but you have to really dig her playstyle to make it work. Make sure you do the "Trial" for her enough times to get a feel for if you like her gameplay before deciding. It's also worth noting that miHoYo always buffs the shit out of energy recharge/damage and will put you vs. the most advantageous enemies on those trials, so just focus on if you like her gameplay or not.

Most of the content in this game isn't very hard anyway. Klee would be a fine DPS for anyone starting out, even with her slight amounts of clunkiness. She's pretty easy to build, and can easily complete all challenges.
Sure, stronger characters will come, but that's still a ways off. Kazuha certainly isn't gonna be your main DPS, so we're looking at at least a month for another chance at a DPS character.

This was my thinking as well when recommending Klee's banner.
1. Her banner is coming soon and has a couple of useful 4 stars like Fischl & Sucrose (Going off the video, I don't think Exentryk currently has either character). I'm a little iffy on Kazuha as a DPS, they were interested in pyro anyway.
2. There is the option of waiting as the next update might feature Ayaka, but will there also be a rerun banner first on that update? If so, they could be potentially waiting 9 weeks for Ayaka.
3. Klee's materials are easy to farm. She also works well with a several 4 star catalysts.
I do agree that Klee can be clunky to play, but if you're limited on characters, you can't be too picky. Even if you get tired of playing as Klee, there will always be another DPS character coming.

Sure, why not. It's a decent weapon that works well on pretty much any character, so you can always give it to someone else down the line if you switch to another sword character. Weapon upgrade materials haven't been an issue in my experience either. I have a bunch of weapons at lvl 80 that I don't really use anymore because I rolled something better later.

I'm not sure if Dragonspine will eventually open to you or not, actually, but if it does there was a great free sword there. I'm thinking it's likely locked behind the event though. Regardless, you will get plenty of gacha swords as you start rolling for characters. Rancour isn't the best nor the worst, and really until you get to about level 50ish, the amount of materials you dump on weapons and characters and stuff is pretty meaningless, so go ahead and buff it for now if you can.

Sounds really good, but a little more complicated than Cocogoat. I hope that means that she will also have a better numbers. But damn, Inazuma is really fucking dangerous when it comes to a new heroes. So much #winning and so little primogems ;(

I'm interested, but the devil's in the details I guess. I've been farming Ganyu materials since I'm hoping to get her eventually, but I might try for the pyro flavour if she comes soon.

This is the level of events we're having. She didn't even give the purple book, she straight up gave me red books. The game even mocked me, because I couldn't finish the quest because she was involved on the daily missions(quest progress said to meet her in the library, then I found nothing).
Recovering those 40% is becoming more difficult to see with those kind of events.

I was wondering if they would even bother with a wrap up. They didn't with the Energy Amplification event, but the whole story setup of that event was pretty lame to begin with.
1.5 ranks pretty low for me, competing with 1.3 as the worst update. Housing ended up being more interesting than I expected, but I'm not sure how much more time I'll spend on it now that I've maxed my realm currency rate and trust rank. The new bosses were meh and you can skip them for now if you aren't building Eula or Yanfei.
As an illustration of how weak this update was, the devs added the world quest "When the Trail goes Cold" that had the player visit the camp at Dragonspire. That was it, as if they just wanted to remind you that Dragonspire still exists. How about adding content to that region? That would probably get players to visit outside of an awkward world quest that amounted to fast traveling and talking to a NPC for some mora.

Yeah, that was a bizarre quest. I wonder what's stopping them from using the Ice Mountain more. Maybe response to the weather system was overwhelmingly negative. I still think that the final quest there should have been about bringing the temperature back to normal. Bloodthirsty tree quest end was also very anticlimactic.
